I recently had the opportunity to visit Campawan Curtain Falls in Baganga, and I must say, it was one of the highlights of my trip to the Philippines. This hidden gem is tucked away in the heart of the Davao Oriental province and offers a truly unforgettable experience for anyone who loves nature and adventure. The journey to the falls was an adventure in itself, as we trekked through dense forests, crossed streams, and climbed over rocks. But once we arrived at the falls, it was all worth it. The sheer beauty and power of the falls took my breath away. The water cascades down from a height of over 20 feet, creating a spectacular curtain of water that is both mesmerizing and exhilarating. One of the things that really impressed me about Campawan Curtain Falls was the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The falls are nestled in the heart of a lush forest, surrounded by towering trees and a diverse array of flora and fauna. It's the perfect place to connect with nature and experience the beauty of the Philippines. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Campawan Curtain Falls to anyone traveling to the Philippines. It's a truly unique and unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and in awe of the natural beauty of this amazing country.

BAGANGA WAS A SURPRISE! Visited in april 2022 with friends! We needed to take a motorbike going there that will cost u around 100-150php/head cos the bridge was devastated by a typhoon that time. We went around 3pm and there was no crowd at all so peaceful, photobomber free that is perfect for your IG photos. Motorbike driver (habal-habal) instructed us how to get to the falls. It was about 5-10 mins walk from the parking area. Luckily we bumped into these cute kids and became our local guide instantly! Breathtaking! Overall, it was a great experience! 🩵

It's closed for repair. However, you can still get there on a motorbike if you're adventurous. My advice is to ride straight through the barangay 'check point' without stopping and ride directly to the falls, over the two bridges. When you arrive you can access the swimming area and if you're the adventurous type you can still hike to the top of the falls. There is also another smaller falls and pool for swimming a bit further down river, the land owner charges 10peso entrance

The short hike to the falls can be a bit tricky, especially if you’re in sandals like we were (we came straight from the beach). It was raining, the trail got muddy, and one of my friends slipped on a rocky hill, thankfully nothing serious. Crossing the bamboo bridge added an adventurous feel, especially since it wobbles as you walk across, like someone’s moving it. When we finally reached the falls, the sight was breathtaking. The Curtain Falls is majestic in person, and the water current was so fast! There’s a small sari-sari store right by the falls where you can grab snacks or essentials, so definitely bring cash, nothing here...

One of the major tourist spot in Baganga, a must visit place, from the name itself the waterfall drops is like a sheet of curtain, you can go swimming in its base depending on the weather. There are open cottages available in the area, the welcome center from the highway is a 20-30 minutes drive, habal2 are the most convenient transpo, vehicles may not reach the welcome center depending on the condition of the road, so you'll need to trek or hike. from the welcome center a 5-10min river trekking to reach the falls. Be aware of the weather, heavy rains may cause the water levels of the...
