It is just proper to start the 21st birthday celebration of my son with a visit to Immaculate Conception Church in Balayan, Batangas. Early this year, Pope Francis granted plenary indulgence to Filipinos visiting any of the 500+ Jubilee churches in the country and this church under the Archdiocese of Lipa is one of them. We got a bit lost going to the church because of numerous one-way signages. But parking is ample. The clergy is strict in implementing social distancing inside even if we come in as one group (6 family members). We prayed the rosary and offered donation and prayers for the dead. If you notice the belfry has a different color than the church facade. It is because the belfry was reconstructed using bricks while the facade is made from stone and corals.
