Truly a world class tourist attraction! Sohoton cave has Panhulugan Cave and Natural Bridge (limestone rock wall /w recessed formations) with native built iron catwalk. Start with bangka ride to the Panhulugan Cave with our tour guide, Kimie. Few stair steps and we start amazing tour of stalactites, stalagmites, draperies, helictites, and columns. The path is well marked and fairly easy to walk on. Cave formations are live, thus lot of water to make cave floor slippery. There are 4 chambers to explore and the last one is the most spectacular. After 45mins cave tour, we board a kayak with tour guide that paddle or push our kayak up river to even amazing cave, the original Sohoton cave. In December, water level is low enough that you might get out of the kayak and take a short walk upstream as itโs too shallow for the loaded kayak. Itโs one of those jaw dropping moment when you see the massive cave with the river running through it. This is where we stack rocks and enjoy nice swim in calmer water. If you lay flat on the river and look up at the Sohoton Cave ceiling; cave tears fall from great height will sting your face! Oh, Miss Universe PH delegates explore these amazing formation in May 2023. For us normal tourists, the whole package cost p900/person and itโs worth...

We coordinated with Basey Tourism Office to ensure we can visit the natural park because during peak season, there is a possibility you will not be accommodated. From Basey, you need to take habal-habal (motorcycle) to Wespal. Some opt to go directly to Wespal, although discouraged. In Wespal, there will be a short briefing about the park. From Wespal, you will take a motorboat to reach Sohoton Cave. In that short ride, you will cruise in the river already sprawled with nice sceneries. The cave tour takes about 45minutes. After the cave tour, you will kayak or someone can paddle for you to the natural bridge. The bridge was an astonishing site. Approaching, I was awed by its distinct structure. You can choose to stay for an hour to swim. Over-all, it took us 3 hours for the whole trip. Bring water and food. Put on sunblock. And be...
ย ย ย Read moreFor an average folk, adventurers alike, the place is awesome. The scenery, the cave and the natural bridge itself is inspiring. A different kind of vacation away from the beach makes this park very interesting.
The cottages are plain and simple, no fuss and would like to make a high 5 for the place, its clean. The visitors camp offers accommodation to those who want to stay overnight, backpackers will find the place as simple as it gets.
The travel to the park is good, no hassle, although at around 3 to 5 kms of barangay roads leading to the park cannot be found on gps, no problem.
Barangay forks are friendly, village is peaceful. Staff of the park are helpful and friendly.
Overall, the park is awesome so you and your family could appreciate the nature and the beauty of the...
