Brizamar Beach Resort is nice getaway place if you want to have a touch of seascapade.
The trip to the resort is quite long and zigzaggy with climbing and downhill drive. So make sure your driver is quite skilled in driving in such road conditions. Also make sure you have comfortable seats especially if you will be coming from faraway place. IMPORTANT: Download an offline map to your device if you are going to use Waze or Google Maps as network/mobile data signals are not reliable past Batangas City proper.
I would recommend you book your reservations earlier than your planned visit since cottages are limited and might have been booked already by other guests. There are concrete tables and chairs facing the beach but they can be hot to sit on when you use it between 10am - 4pm. Weekends and (probably) holidays will surely be crowded so it is not recommended for tourist who would like a peaceful stay.
Our day stay lasted until 4pm. Just enjoy and make the most out of it. The time runs slow during my stay there as I observed since my companions always asked for the time every now and then.
You can also book for overnight stay in the resort. Just plan it ahead and ask their receptionist for rates and available rooms.
Put on some sunscreen and drink water every now and then because it is quite dehydrating if you are the person who loves swimming and staying in the pool or sea.
You can swim by the beach or by their sea water pools (as in their pools use sea water drawn straight from the sea) on the far right side of the resort. The beach is quite rocky and slippery so make sure you wear proper footwear if you wanted to explore the seaside.
There are grilling areas inside their resort so you can grill your meat or seafood there. But you can also bring your own portable stove or butane stove if you want your own cooking area by the cottage.
Though garbage bins are seen everywhere especially beside the cottages, but please bring your own trash bins.
The reception area have food and toiletries available for purchase but can be quite expensive. So better bring your own food if possible.
Shower and comfort rooms - their shower/confort rooms/change rooms are located near the reception area. But take note you need to access them by stairs. I'm not sure if they have shower rooms or comfort rooms for PWD/Seniors so please ask the receptionist during your inquiry. Be cautious also when turning on/off the lights as they might ground you if your hands are wet. Some of the lavatory (in the male area) are clogged. Some shower area in the male area have no door knobs for privacy.
The resort is pet-friendly and you can bring your fur babies inside. BUT PLEASE BE A RESPONSIBLE PET PARENT! Do not let your pet's poop or pee not cleaned or collected. I just witnessed a family with two dogs left the poo made by one of their dogs in the parking lot, and didn't even attempt to collect it. How irresponsible!
Parking - there is a limited parking space. The parking space outside the resort is quite steep slope.
Water activities - aside from beach and pool swimming, they have banana boat riding, inflatable water obstacle area, and the work-in-progress tunnel exploration. Ask them about the rates as I didn't availed them.
WiFi and Network signal reception - I don't know if the resort provides free WiFi for overnight guests but just to be sure bring your own Internet connection. Within the resort premises you can have good 2G signals for all networks. However 3G and LTE signals are available for Globe/GOMO subscribers. Smart subscribers have 1 to none...
Read moreBooking - They made the mistake of listing our name twice, and they booked us in 2 different rooms. After we just settled our things in the first room, a staff member visited us and made us move to the second room. We have senior citizens and people who are having a hard time walking, but they moved us in a room on high stairs 🤡
Accomodation - Rooms are tiny, no refrigerator for your foods, VERY tiny bathrooms. As for Cabanas, they have these umbrellas but only covering half of the table? It was raining when we went there but there was no shade apart from the umbrellas?
Parking - They made us park on Gate 3, considering how big the resort is and how many people are booking - they should at least consider how tiring it is for the people who are walking back and forth. Gate 2 and 3 are far from the resort, if the Main Parking is full, you'll be directed to either Gate 2 or 3.
Activities - They should advise people if they have the activities available, for example, the inflatable - they keep advertising this on their Social Media but it's nowhere to be found in the resort. Other activities are expensive.
Public sink - Only 2 sinks for the whole resort? Hello? With how many people are staying in your resort, you should consider adding more. Sinks in the bathroom are tiny!
At the end of the day, we did not enjoy our stay at Brizamar. Reconsider if you're thinking of booking at...
Read moreit’s my first time to visit with my family and I could say it’s satisfying. I checked all informations as well as reviews online. Here’s my honest review— we avail only day tour - phase 1 ( open Nipa hut ( good for 10 pax) (please avail the promo valid until August 31) u can see from their page as well. yes there are flies so ensure to bring some lid for your menus( somehow it’s normal since there are grilling area nearby ) The water in the pool is salt water as well. Bathrooms are enough to accommodate 10 people at a time and it’s clean. Male and female bathrooms were separated. If you wish to experience water activities better to call them first however they will Only tell u that it depends on the weather (make sense) but we went on weekends so maybe they will also choose profitable days. it’s cheap and beautiful - worth for the rate. The beach is clear and clean . The view is mesmerizing. We’re from...
