Our local tour guide said Ulan-Ulan Falls is by far the most beautiful waterfall in Biliran—and we can definitely attest to that. The entrance fee is ₱20 per person, and there are small stores near the registration area where you can buy snacks. There’s a short trail with stairs leading down to the waterfall. Once you reach the falls, you’ll immediately feel the powerful rush of water—it was a fun and amazing experience. Everyone should definitely include Ulan-Ulan Falls in their itinerary when visiting Biliran. Caution: When we visited, there was a thin, long snake spotted along the stairway. Fortunately, no harm was done as our guide noticed it early and safely moved it away. Just a reminder—when you’re in nature, it’s normal to encounter different species. Be mindful, stay alert, and always show respect to the environment and its wildlife.

Ulan-ulan Falls offers a refreshing and memorable experience for nature lovers. The paved road leading to the top and the cemented pathway with handrails make it easily accessible, even for beginners or families with kids. The walk down is scenic, and the pathways are well-maintained. Once you reach the falls, the natural beauty truly takes your breath away. Though there are some rocky areas near the falls, it adds to the adventure and natural charm of the place. The water is cold, clear, and so refreshing—a perfect reward after the short trek. The falls are impressively high, with strong, gushing water that makes the experience feel even more majestic. Overall, Ulan-ulan Falls is a must-visit when in Biliran. Whether you're a thrill-seeker or simply want to relax in nature, this place won’t disappoint!

By only looking at the images and videos you see in social media, tha falls looks deceptively serene. But when I arrived there, it was awesomely overwhelming. Before reaching the spot, you get to walk into a challenging terraine of about 300 meters. Expect narrow trails with mud and rocks, and mini cliffs on your left side covered in bushes as you descend going there. You will first hear the falls before seeing it so keep your eyes open. Once you see a glimpse of the falls, expect the road to be better as that portion is already cemented. Then enjoy the view of the falls while traversing atop the boulders and dipping into the cold waters. Well worth the hike.
