We visited here as part of the countryside tour and I am not sure I would recommend it.
When you arrived you are given your own guide who was very helpful and friendly but it did feel like we were then rushed around a little bit. You are also asked if you want to buy some feed for the birds. Don't bother. They have plenty of the same food in their cages.
There is a big python room. It was not very clean but the animals seemed to be in a pretty good condition and mostly able to roam as they pleased. There were also people in there making sure you didn't do anything stupid. There is the option to pay a little extra to sit with a python on your lap.
As you go through there is a photographer taking pictures of you which they will show you later and can be purchased.
After the python room we saw the birds, some monkeys and a crocodile (alligator?) - these were pretty disappointing as the cages were not very clean and lacked anything to keep the animals occupied. There was no vegetation and no toys. Most of the birds are parrot types which are very intelligent and get bored easily.
From here we went to the butterfly room which was nice.
Please note, all of the animals had access to water and food (if applicable, e.g. the crocodile didn't have free flowing meat lol).
I am not sure I would recommend a visit. I think there are a lot of small changes that would make a visit more worthwhile and would make me feel a lot better about the animals...
Read moreNo we did not stop here to see the snakes, crocodiles, birds and butterflies. I don’t like to see caged animals anyway. We made this stop at this Unli (eat all you can buffet) place upon the suggestion of our van driver/tour guide. The place was not air-conditioned but was well ventilated, and it had a souvenir shop adjacent to the restaurant. Never mind the animals. We didn’t even know it was a mini zoo until we were ready to leave after lunch and saw the big sign outside. We were famished hungry animals ourselves, having been to Chocolate Hills and the Tarsier Sanctuary. They had about a dozen or more dishes to select from, all covered in plastic wrap, so I was confident it was clean. They even had a fruit/desert section. I was surprised how delicious all selections were. I had to go back for seconds to try as much as I can (except for the stingray dish, which I never had but should have). The dishes were freshly and deliciously made just llike my grandparents did when we visited them, a little bit of food nostalgia there. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and friend, patiently explaining what each dish was. It’s not a fancy high end place but I highly recommend this as a stop before or after visiting ...
Read more(Late review) . . . Back in October 2022, I had one of the most unforgettable experiences at Xzootic Animal Park in Loboc, Bohol. I honestly never thought I could do this...I usually get scared even with tiny worms and caterpillars...but that day, I faced my fear in the most incredible way.
Not only did I get to hold a huge python, but I also carried their biggest and longest Albino Burmese Python...a stunning yellow and white snake that was so heavy! 🐍✨ At first, I was very nervous, but the staff were really supportive, making sure I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. What I thought would be a terrifying moment turned into something thrilling, peaceful, and truly unforgettable.
Aside from the snakes, the park also has a butterfly garden and other unique attractions that make it such a worthwhile visit. Whether you’re with family, friends, or just looking for a new adventure in Bohol, this place offers an experience you won’t forget.
If you’re traveling to the island, I highly recommend stopping by Xzootic Animal Park...it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that left me with memories I’ll treasure...
