Of all the beaches I've been to in Coron, I can't say I recommend this one. To start, the directions to get there are so confusing and you end up walking through literal cow manure depending on the path you take.
There is a nice yet curious family that lives near the beach. And they will stare at you and ask to sell you coconuts every chance they get if you're a foreigner. Also the children play in the water without clothing, which made us a tad bit uncomfortable as they had no adult supervision. On top of that the dogs will not leave you alone. Unlike other beaches, the bugs will also bother you incessantly.
But this isn't the end of it, it's not particularly clean. The view is astonishing though. And if you're not afraid of critters in the water (of which there are many and of questionable safety) the water is nice.
I wanted to give this beach a better review as it was given high praise by a local, but I can not in good faith recommend this beach to any visitors. Leave it...
Read moreThe beach is beautiful. If you are coming from the town of Coron, it's about 1h ride by bike&scooter
There's a turn to the right after the gps says that you've arrived. And you still have 5 mins by a sand road. By the end of the road you will see a small kind of a parking. They charge you 50 pesos for parking. But then , there's a trap, as you go to the left side of the beach, there will be a family charging you back again 50 pesos. Even though you won't be staying on that area of the beach but passing by, they might get pretty aggressive. On one side, it's okay if you stay on their part of the beach: you have a place to eat and some shadow On the other side , you can't charge people just because of passing by. I didn't like how they treated people and I felt a bit astonished after the...
Read moreOkay so first of all this beach is amazing day trip from coron town. It is just hard to locate, but once you get to the location just look for a sign pointing right that says to sapiaggio or something similar, then drive this small road to the end and you'll find the beach.
Also if you go along the beach to the left, you will find shallow waters where you will be able to cross to a nearby island. However, check for the tide before doing this.
Also notice, the road is partially closed when you pass airport, so when you are at airport just ask guards, they will direct you the correct reroute, because gmpas don't know that road is closed.
Long review, but I wish someone told me this...
