Bundok ni Maria Ina ni Hesus — Attraction in Calaca

We got there at around 11:30am and I was expecting a jam-packed pilgrimage site but thankfully, iilan lang kami when we got there (mga 5 cars lang).

Entrance is free. There is a kind old gentleman who I assume is the caretaker of the place who opens the gate for you and makes sure you park properly.

Tapos the altar is about 200 meters away, kelangan bumaba ka. Don't worry, may mga cemented steps na at railings so you don't have to worry na madulas at tumambling ka sa baba if mawala balance mo.

This was an apparition site of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title Our Mother of Love, Peace and Joy. It is still pending approval by the Vatican but there are many devotees who believe the apparition was true and have banded themselves together to form the international prayer group La Pieta.

The steps going down the altar also has the wood engravings for the Way of the Cross so you can pray the Devotion before going to the altar.

Do I believe that Mama Mary did appear to the mystic Emma? All I know is that if you visit the place, you will experience peace like no other. I feel that the presence of God is strong in this place, after all He does meet people on top of the mountain. And the Mountain of Salvation is really a part of the mountain ranges of Batulao.

I pray that the apparition gets finally approved para mas lalo pa mapangalagaan yung lugar.

Path to the apparition site of the Virgin Mary is bordered with indigenous plants of the area. Near the apparition spot is a cool freshwater spring that you can collect water from.

Exit path has a perfect spot for a Mount Batulao background for your photos.

Better to go on days when lesser tourists are present to keep the peaceful and calm atmosphere. Try to donate some amount of cash or buy some rosaries to help in maintaining the upkeep...

The place is a hidden gem in the mountanious part of Calaca Batangas. The place is 3-minute drive from Chapel on the Hill of about 5 - 7 minute walk. However, the place is not familiar to devotees and they only visit Caluerga and Chapel on the Hill when going in this area. On April 9, 2005 aparicion happened in the site.
