Mondejares Beach Resort and Seaside Lodge — Attraction in Calbayog

Affordable stay at the beach. However, they need to improve their rooms in the cottages. The linen should be better. The ocean is clean and beautiful and the main reason to stay there. The pool is OK, and there are nice views all around, which creates a good vibe.

The worst thing about the place is that they allow karaoke all night. We're not kidding when we say we could hardly sleep, because we lived close to a loud karaoke party. We hoped it would stop at midnight, then 1, then 2, but it didn't stop. Until 7 in the morning 😳😵‍💫🤦‍♂️

The service was just OK, not great. But all in all, it's worth a try if you want to stay by seaside, for swimming, or if you enjoy lots of karaoke.

The rooms were cozy enough for our stay, and the staff were very accommodating. The swimming pool was a good size and suitable for kids. However, the playground needs some attention as it looked a bit worn down. We encountered some trouble with phone signal, which could be an issue for some guests. Breakfast could use some improvement. The current options felt a bit limited and repetitive. It would be great to see a wider variety and ensure that the breakfast served can adequately feed the number of guests checked in. It's a public beach resort with minimal entrance and cottage fee. They have rooms for rent, cabanas, swimming pool, jet ski, recreational area, a mini function room for big groups of about 50 people and a parking space. The cabanas are painted in white with multicolored curtains to add color to its all while buildings. The color of the sand is gray black which made its beach front less appealing.
