One of the most beautiful churches I have seen in the Philippines. This 19th century church is rich in history and so beautifully built. The church overlooks the Bato river and the views during sunset are amazing. It underwent rehabilitation in 2020 after being battered by typhoons and now the church looks majestic. I particularly love the frescoes and the ceiling. The church is adjacent to. Bato municipal Hall. You shouldn't miss it. It should be a UNESCO Heritage Site.

Passed by when I looped Catanduanes in my motorcycle. A must have place to see. Architecture is beautiful. Old and picturesque. The view from the outside and inside the church is awesome. The place is also secured. Parked outside but i stayed for a while. The church is beside the road so it is hard to miss.

A must visit in Catanduanes. Although most of the blog that I read includes this place but I never read how beautiful the view coming out of the church facing the great river. You may also consider to stop on the other end of the river from Virac to take its photo before crossing the river.
