Aguinid Falls is another epic multi-leveled waterfall located in the Samboan Municipality in South Cebu. Here, you’ll find five levels of flowing waterfalls, each with the opportunity for swimming and jump into the crystal-blue Cebu jungle water.
Went for a quick visit here and it was truly the highlight of our Day! There is an Entrance Fee of Php 300 per Persons (inclusive of Entrance Fee, Environmental Fees, Guide Fees and Safety Gears (shoes and helmet) and I think it was worth the price. The falls was until 8th Level and I can say each level was a true combination of adventure and beauty. Our Guides (Kuya Mark and Ate Cora) were very friendly and supportive.
It's not as touristy as other waterfalls for sure but for an introverted office worker like me, the Aguinid Falls course is just right. I loved being among the quiet lush greenery. I'm always in the city so to see greenery instead of buildings and cars was very refreshing.
Aguinid Falls is unique because it is not a single waterfall. Rather it is a system of waterfalls that runs for a couple of kilometers along Tangbo River. Since it was promoted as an eco-tourism destination, locals and foreigners have witnessed this one-of-a-kind, multi-tiered waterfall system.
We didn't expect to be climbed that way, we took 2 very nice guides with us. The rocks we climbed some are very slippery (especially the black rocks) need to pay attention and be careful. I would recommend taking a guide as there is a guy they tie a rope with and need to climb with him. The climb itself was amazing and the water there is...
Read moreGreat attraction that combines impressive nature with a small sporting challenge. In our opinion, a great alternative to canyoning. You climb up the waterfall with a total of 8 stages, accompanied by two guides. One takes photos and videos, and the other assists with the climbing. Our guides were very friendly, and we felt very well taken care of. Everything you expect from waterfalls is offered here in our view: climbing, optional jumps of 4 or 9 meters, small natural pools, and the chance to stand directly under the waterfall. At the top, you arrive in a beautiful palm forest and are then picked up by a tuk-tuk to ride back down into the valley.
We were thrilled and found the people very friendly, and the price more than fair. We were also warmly welcomed by a lady at the parking lot . She simply offers her services and is very understanding if you don’t need anything.
The guides are paid with tips, and the entrance fee is 350 pesos per person.
There was just one other guest besides us, so it wasn’t crowded at all, which was very pleasant.
In short – wonderful nature and a small adventure that stays in your memory.
You do need to be somewhat sporty for the climbing sections, but overall it’s very doable. We can definitely...
Read moreCame here on a day trip chasing waterfalls on a rented scooter. Way less busy that Kawasan falls which was lovely and was a more authentic adventure. Because we came in summer we couldn't do all the 8 levels as some parts were dry so we started at the top, climbed down then back up again.
It was quite sketchy and would reccomend only doing this is you have good fitness. The way down is literally bouldering down a fast flowing waterfall without a harness. You will have a helmet, aqua shoes and bouyancy aid and the waterfalls faces arnt high, but its enough for a good thrill and adrenaline rush. When you get to the main waterfall you have the option of jumping an approx 9m hight, or absailing down with a rope.
The guides helped with each foot and hand holds down/up the waterfalls and made you feel safe.
It was a very fun experience and there is option for a cooked meal at the end. Cost was 300 pesos each, and a tip of your choosing...
