Baluarte Park — Attraction in Cebu

To be honest I was really disappointed when I revisited this place last April 21, 2023 compared to our first visit way back year 2021. It was never the same after the super typhoon. I do understand about the certain damages dealt on the trees, pathways, & those little pavilions but for the local government to not at least maintain the cleanliness & safeness of the park is frustrating, to think that it is just located behind and above the municipal hall.

It has an entrance fee before, but now it is free knowing that they don't mind repairing & maintaining the place anymore, at least not in their priority.

This spot in Aloguinsan has a great potential in tourists (foreign or even locals). Knowing that it is a public place. Just the initiative & concern of the government is lacking, I guess.

This is also near the sea which you can also have a dip or enjoy swimming for free I believe. This whole spot here in Aloguinsan is lively and gets better during late afternoon until night. Not confirmed personally but by the looks of it, I'm pretty sure many locals do hang out here during that time.

The ambience by the sea was the saving grace of this place for me, so I gave it 3 stars.

To the local government of Aloguinsan please do clean the whole place regularly specially near the sea area. Thank you.

It has a really nice view and affordable entrance fee, where you can take good pictures without spending a lot of money, instead you can use your money for foods and drinks because there is a public market near in the park. You can bond here together with your family, friends, and especially with your favourite person. You can bring foods, enjoy the sunrise or the sunset and you can freely do anything. I think that all you have to do is just be a responsible tourist....

Perfect place to watch sunset over Tañon Strait. Good place to unwind and enjoy the view of Negros.
