-1 because it’s not pet-friendly. They could have at least zoned the area properly for guests with pets instead of completely excluding them from the main area. These days, pets are already considered part of the family. It’s sad that we couldn’t enjoy the spring as a complete family since our pet (and one of our family members who stayed with him) had to remain in the payag at the parking area because pets weren’t allowed downstairs.

If they really can’t control irresponsible pet owners, then they should improve zoning, strictly implement rules and regulations (for example, requiring pets to be fully vaccinated), check baggage, and hire more staff to monitor the area. They could also impose penalty fees for careless or irresponsible pet owners. Because how about the responsible ones? Nowadays, inclusivity should already be a standard for facilities like this.

-1 because the price is not worth the experience and convenience. You pay for the entrance fee, then pay again for tables and chairs. Entrance is ₱150/head, environmental fee ₱30/head, and ₱300 for a set of one table with four chairs—total ₱480. On top of that, there’s no limit on the number of people they let in so maghuot na inyong tables and chairs with other groups. They’re earning a lot, but at the expense of the guests’ experience. Profit seems to be their priority, not customer satisfaction.

-1 because there’s no crowd limit. The area is small, yet they let in more guests than the spring can handle. It gets overcrowded and cramped, especially during weekends. There’s also no reservation or booking system to help manage capacity. Knowing that natural springs in Cebu are already limited, you can’t really enjoy this place fully because of the crowd. It would be much better if they implemented proper guest limits and created a Facebook page or website for reservations/booking (bisag during weekends lang, when the crowd is bigger). After so many years, it seems like they’ve only improved profits—not the actual guest experience.

P.S. Dili tanang guest nga naay pets irresponsible, dili pud tanang guest nga way pets responsible. Ayaw ninyo i-tanan. Tarunga inyong rules and regulations.

Sayang lang kay nindut gyud unta ang spring, pero imong experience maguba tungod sa overcrowding and rules nga dili...

Banyan Resort in Tabogon, Cebu offers a natural spring pool that serves as its main attraction, though the overall experience leaves room for improvement. The spring water itself is refreshingly cool and clean, providing welcome relief from Cebu’s tropical heat. The surrounding landscape of lush greenery creates a pleasant, natural atmosphere that enhances the swimming experience.

However, the facilities around the spring pool feel underdeveloped. The concrete walkways and basic changing rooms lack aesthetic appeal and could benefit from better maintenance. While there are shaded seating areas, the wooden benches and tables show visible wear. The resort charges an entrance fee that seems slightly high considering the limited amenities provided for day visitors.

Service is adequate but unremarkable. Staff members perform their duties efficiently enough, though without the warm hospitality that would elevate the experience. Food options are minimal, with just a small snack bar offering basic items at inflated prices. Visitors would be wise to bring their own refreshments.

The spring itself remains enjoyable, particularly during weekdays when crowds are thinner. However, on weekends, the area can become uncomfortably busy, diminishing the tranquil natural atmosphere. For those simply looking for a quick dip in natural spring water, Banyan Resort serves its purpose, but don’t expect a premium eco-tourism experience. With some facility upgrades and better visitor management, this could be a much more compelling...

Accessible by bus(from north bus terminal) because its just along the main road and it have its own parking lot. Intrance fee is affordable (P150/adult P100/child as of june 2023 prior to change in the future). table and cottages are ranged from P200-P500. You can bring your own food to cook, there is a grilling area. Have a separate changing room area and toilet for male and female. They have a store upon entrance so they have corkage on softdrinks and liquor you bring from outside but if you can hide it, its ok.they are not so strick.hahaha They dont have lifeguard yet, so watch out if you or your kids dont know how to swim. But they have water floaters(salbabida)for rent for kids. They have a pool seperated on 3 parts(6-7ft deep,4-5ft deep and a jacuzi type mini pool) and a mini waterfall at the bottom(sea part level area). Its like a spring and sea mix so water is a little salty but its a flowing water so its a good thing for me.and most of the area is covered in huge trees so its cool and relaxing just find a good spot. Best time to visit is in the morning. If you want to enjoy the place before many people arrives at noon. Resort open until 5pm so enjoy.

p.s....this resort is still on improvements so dont expect too much to avoid...
