My recent visit to Cascades Nature Park in Compostela was a mixed experience. Let’s start with the food. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The dishes, particularly the Twin Chops, were overly salty and left much to be desired in terms of flavor. The portion sizes did not justify the prices, making it a poor value for money.
As for the alcoholic beverages, they were quite expensive, which wasn’t surprising but still felt overpriced for the setting and quality provided.
The park itself was just okay. It has potential but falls short in several areas. The pool, which should be a main attraction, wasn’t inviting at all. It lacked the cleanliness and appeal that would make one want to take a dip. Moreover, one of the lakes was teeming with mosquitoes, making it uncomfortable to spend any time nearby.
The overall ambiance of the park is so-so. While the natural surroundings have a certain charm, the maintenance and facilities do not complement the natural beauty. The park could greatly benefit from better upkeep and attention to detail in both its amenities and its dining options.
Despite the shortcomings, there are a few redeeming qualities. The staff were generally polite and helpful, and the natural setting does offer a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. However, these positives were not enough to significantly elevate the overall experience.
Given the combination of subpar food, high drink prices, and mediocre facilities, I would rate Cascades Nature Park a 3 out of 5. It has the potential to be much better with improvements in its food quality, pricing, and facility...
Read moreEXPECTATIONS VS. REALITY: This is one of the worst venues I've been to:
When we had an ocular, the office manager was not accommodating and was rude. She just told us to "just explore the venue on our own." No guides, greetings, or whatsoever. This is very opposite to the industry that she's in.
They gave our organizers a package that included the tents, sound system, and projector. But it seemed to me that it was not properly documented. Everything has a fee. Hidden charges are everywhere. No transparency at all. When we arrived there, no setup has been made. No chairs, no tables, no projector, and no sound system. They only provided a white screen and even reasoned that the organizers should bring them. The sound system was not even a system. It was only a small speaker.
Pool looks dirty. Period.
The grass lawns smells like dog poop.
Cafeteria doesn't have sufficient lights.
One staff took out our tables from our cottage. They didn't ask permission at all.
My advise to the owners, please hire someone that has strong background in the hospitality industry. Your current administrators are clueless with what...
Read moreWell, if you just wanted nature in a peaceful and quiet place with a pool then you might like the place. But for me if it's a resort it should have a lot of fun things we can do. Here are the things I dislike about it. *Food and drinks you bring inside needs corkage per head. Food has different corkage aside from the drinks *The cottage rent is 500 with just limited chairs, I think 6 chairs only, you can't add additional chairs *Adults entrance fee is 250 I think. But the place is not worth the fee. *You can't even bring a Bluetooth speaker for music cause music is not allowed. Only for mic. But you can only use your cellphone *Using the grilling station has a fee of 150 If you wanna buy food inside double the price. If the bottled water is worth 20 outside, inside it's 40.
What I only like there are *There is a big space to play games or have a fun activity *The pool is big only though it's not deep but it's okay You can play volleyball cause there's a net but I don't know if the ball needs...
