It's a mixed experience. The vibe is nice, people are friendly. The travel there is kind of inconvenient even with an SUV. The facilities are poor, don't expect much hygiene. You should bring your own food and drinks, but it's a long way to carry it down the stairs. The water is not literally hot, but it's warm enough. The river below is cold, it's refreshing to jump in, but you have to take a rope bridge for that. The biggest issue is that they allow kids to enter. They_should_not. While they make you sign a waiver, it's irresponsible not to make it clear to parents that you. can't. take. your. eyes. off. your. kids. in there. There are gaps between the pools and the cliff without any safety railing, net, rope, anything. If a child takes a wrong step when not being watched they'd fall on the rocks 20m below. This place is okay for a friends, couples etc, but I'd never go...
Read moreThey do not get my 5 star because I was very disappointed did not expected to get an access only at the "pools". The price was 350. my 3 stars are for the staff whose very friendly and amazing. But they really need to take care more of this place. Did not swim much neither dive in the bigger bath because the floor was dark. And at the 3rd pool there were no too much light ok but the protection for the leaves was broken. Couldn't access down to the natural fall because the water was very brown. So if at least the pools were clean up , if they take care of this concept this place would be amazing. Anyway I enjoyed the hot water. Hope to here better...
Read moreIt was a great experience, we really enjoyed. Mr. Esoy, the owner was so friendly and accommodating, he gives us information that Esoy hot spring was not from volcanoes, water issuing from a hot spring is heated geothermally, that is, with heat produced from the Earth's mantle. In general, the temperature of rocks within the earth increases with depth. The rate of temperature increase with depth is known as the geothermal gradient. If water percolates deeply enough into the crust, it will be heated as it comes into contact with hot rocks. The water from hot spring in non-volcanic areas like Esoy Hot Spring is heated in...
