It wasn't my intention to go to Kota Park as I was thinking of Kota Beach Resort only to take a picture of the "Camp Sawi" arc. Kota Park is located in Madridejos, you can reach it by hiring a tricycle, jeepney well in my case since I rented a motorbike it became more convenient.

It took me 25-30 mins from Sante Fe. You'll pass by scenic views of fields and mountains. I stopped by the Sykdive Greater Cebu to take a photo before heading to my destination. There's no fee to pay even for parking as well as free use of their cottages (ofcourse learn to share it with others and socialize).

Kota Park has a long shore line of fine cream-colored sands, clear waters and picturesque bridge that was made forbthe locals (it's no longer used and only serves as an additional attraction in the park). There also a small light house few meters away from the end of the bridge.

There's a residents area and have seen some locals catching small crabs as it was low tide when I arrived around 10 AM. Having that said, I 've seen some trash on the shore may it be washed up back to the shore or wasn't disposed properly. I'm hoping that the locals and tourists will be able to maintain it's beauty because the park is definitely one of the tourists spots in Bantayan Island that will offer an amazing experience to anyone...

Located at the north tip of Bantayan Island in the town of Madrilejos, this park is a ruin of a Spanish Fort. At present, aside from the ruins and the beach, it has a boardwalk with a view tower, a tourism office, a carinderia, some cottages, and parking. The cottages are occupied by students just idly sitting or sleeping on the benches. We tourists just roam the place, take some photos and leave. No place to rest after a long travel from the opposite end of the island. The boardwalk is under repair, the viewdeck is closed, and the shore is littered with trash. A nice restaurant building is under construction.

But will definitely go back with the hope that the place is cleaned up and...

If you’re coming from Santa Fe (main tourist hub of Bantayan Island), Kota Park can be a good stop if you wish to explore Bantayan from end to end since it’s situated at the northern most tip of the Island. We recommend renting a motorcycle scooter in Santa Fe and riding it all the way up there. The park itself is simple enough with a few food stalls and benches for picnics. The Fort is small and mildly interesting if you’re into historical snippets. The best part of the park is the boardwalk that goes far out into the sea and can afford you some good views.

Overall a great stop if you’re looping the island on a motorcycle! Considering skipping if you’re doing a whole side trip just to...
