Phenomenal place! Enter through limestone entry and you go up a flight of stairs. Then, it winds down to the actual lake! The water is clean, clear, warm & amazing aqua color! There's a semi circular wooden walk way that you can take and choose the spot where you'd like to ascend into the warm water. There are beautiful white butterflies fluttering by as you walk along the boardwalk. There are also baby blue fins in there! It sometimes get a little crowded on the walkway but the lake is huge enough to get a good spot to swim in. The area is scheduled for an close down January 2019 for environmental clean-up. This is something many of the islands are doing as part of protecting the environment and in preparation of the peak season. Keep Kayangan Lake beautiful and pack out what you bring in! Read moreReputed as the cleanest lake in the country, Kayangan lake offers pristine beauty and calm adventure with nature. Upon reaching the entrance, you climb to the lake it self. There is a view deck that offers a panoramic view of Coron's marvelous seascape.
The lake itself has very clean cold water ideal for relaxed swimming and snorkeling. There is a small hidden cave which you can reach by swimming that allows you to see another point where rain water flows in.
Be sure to bring insect repellant creams during the rainy/ wet season as there can be a huge number of mosquitoes which "attacks" certain people. But during summer or sunny days, no mosquitoes fly around.
Never miss Kayangan Lake when you visit Coron. This is a MUST SEE place, and for sure you will come back again and again to commune...

Needless to say, it was more beautiful than I had imagined it. From the lagoon you gotta hike a little before you'll make it to the Lake. Be sure to apply some mosquito repellent spray before the hike!! On top there's a possibility to capture the beauty of the lagoon, but there are a lot of people taking pictures at the very same spot, so be patient. We came in the afternoon, so it was very crowded at the Lake, but we enjoyed it still. We saw some very special looking small fishes with sharp endings, but they're not dangerous at all.
