My fiancé and I stayed at Sirmata for 3 days and 2 nights to attend a wedding hosted at the venue. While we were excited to celebrate with friends, our experience as guests was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable from start to finish.
The villa we booked was in terrible condition. The cabin was full of cobwebs and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The beds were poorly maintained, with heavily stained and dirty mattresses that left me with multiple bed bug bites. The water supply was unreliable throughout our stay, and the air-conditioning unit was outdated and barely worked, offering little relief from the heat. We asked to be transferred to another villa but we were declined seeing that other cabins were already filled by other guests.
We were also shocked to arrive and find the area around our cabin dusty, dirty, and obviously unprepared. The staff were still cleaning the bathroom as we were entering, which made it clear that the space was not ready for guests.
As for the wedding setup, the chapel where the ceremony took place was very small and cramped. Many guests had to stand outside on a slippery staircase and muddy grass just to witness the ceremony—an uncomfortable and even unsafe situation.
The reception setup was even worse. It was held on open grass with makeshift tents that barely held together during the incessant rain. The tents did not properly accommodate everyone, and guests were left standing or seated on chairs sinking into the mud. My feet were completely submerged, and my gown was thoroughly soiled by the time I got to my seat.
To make matters worse, bugs were crawling all over the venue—some even falling into our water glasses, which was simply unacceptable. The food served during the event was another major letdown. It looked completely unappetizing, resembling prison food, and tasted just as bad.
At first, the staff at Kayo Café were warm and accommodating, but they later became evasive, as if they were allergic to guests placing orders or simply asking for assistance.
To top it off, during check-out, the tuktuk service we were told would help with transport never came back—despite several follow-ups by my fiancé. We were left with no choice but to carry all our luggage ourselves through the muddy, slippery trail.
Sirmaga Farms may look decent in photos, but in reality, it’s poorly maintained and unprepared to host events of this scale. We would not recommend staying here, especially if you’re expecting comfort, cleanliness, or...
Read moreThe place is cute, although a bit smaller than portrayed in the pictures. A stay of one night is enough for you to experience the entire place, and there isn't much nearby attractions either. You can loop this place in your itinerary if you are traveling up north, such as in Baguio, La Union, Ilocos, since it is near TPLEX. I would not suggest going to this place by commute or if this is your only destination, because it's inaccessible by public transportation.
The food is exquisite but a bit pricey. Our room didn't have a TV, which is very standard in hotel rooms nowadays regardless of the room classification or price. Our room has a nice rear balcony overlooking the property lake.
Overall, I had an enjoyable stay. My only gaping observation is that the staff clearly lack customer service orientation. We checked in and nobody even greeted us welcome or helped with our luggage. The staff were neither very helpful nor friendly.
We checked out the following day and the receptionist did not even say "Thank you. I'll see you next time" or asked us about our stay. We requested for assistance in getting a tricycle, but all the receptionist ever said was we could hail a passing tricycle at the gate.
We did not even receive assistance with our luggage, even though there were two staff loafing around by the reception. The gate guard was also very non-chalant and did not offer to help us get a tricycle.
It was also very noticeable that the property was overstaffed, and yet I did not even see a manager or a supervisor who, hopefully, knew about resort operations and could teach his/her staff practice better customer relations.
It's distasteful how the property's management poured so much resources and effort beautifying the place, all the while neglecting the guest experience aspect of the business. Heck, the staff of the local carinderia where I took my lunch later that day had demonstrated even better customer service and congeniality.
Hopefully, the management will have some form of intervention on...

I brought my family here hoping to relax, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. We stayed at Villa 4 with a Jacuzzi, which is the most expensive villa in the resort at Php 15,000 per night. However, we encountered several issues: • No telephones in the villa to address any concerns. They provide a contact number, but since we use the Smart network, there was no signal. • No WiFi, no room service, and no hair dryers available. • The pool and Jacuzzi were dirty, and the rooms and villas clearly needed better maintenance. • The shower heads and bidets were very dirty, among other cleanliness issues. • The outdoor activities lacked safety nets, which is concerning, especially if children are playing. • Too many insects, even at the restaurant. They should install insect lamps or enclose the dining area since guests are eating. They do offer insect lamps in the rooms, but these didn’t help much either. • The air conditioning in our villa was broken. We stayed for 2 nights, and the kids were very uncomfortable in the heat. They provided fans, but it wasn’t enough. We were told the air conditioners were damaged due to multiple power outages. • Bed bugs in the Singonium Villa where my friend stayed. This was the most upsetting part—two of the kids were covered in bed bug bites, which is completely unacceptable.
On a positive note, we did enjoy the beautiful scenery and the friendly staff. However, we wouldn’t come back. We’re not picky guests, but this is an honest review. The resort needs to improve its cabins, activities, and overall system to match the high price point. It’s a shame because the place...
