Masjid Dimaukom (Pink Mosque) – A Peaceful Landmark in Maguindanao

Masjid Dimaukom, also known as the Pink Mosque, is a stunning symbol of peace and unity located in Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao. Its vibrant pink color represents love and harmony, making it not only a place of worship but also a unique architectural treasure in Mindanao. Surrounded by palm trees and open skies, this mosque offers a peaceful atmosphere perfect for reflection and appreciation of culture.

If you love exploring beautiful destinations in the Philippines, this is definitely a place to include in your travel list. The design, the colors, and the meaning behind it are all worth seeing in person.

It's always neat to see the "Pink Mosque" though it is more and more of a tourist attraction and a house of worship now. They want to rent robes and scarves and stuff and claim they are required to enter (and they should be) but the people that are inside the gate telling you that you must wear a scarf can be seen quickly putting theirs on as you approach. Basically they want to enforce their rules for a profit more than for their faith, which is sad. I have no objection to dressing properly at a mosque, but the people telling you that you must rent their robes or scarves out of respect for the faith should at least follow their own rules. And the begging kids are a bit much. Still worth seeing. But it is more about toursit sales...

It is without a doubt one of the most interesting mosques in the world. The pink colour makes it quite vivid, in a nice way. It really is a sight to behold. Getting there is fairly straightforward too since you can get UVs from around the corner and even buses (sometimes there's a bit of a wait as transport is a bit infrequent), and there are also local tricycles to go around the place. There is a small market type place but far from here. And the vendors there are quite helpful too. All in all, great place to visit and experience. Especially since photos don't really do justice to how interesting and beautiful it looks in person. I'd rate it...
