This is just our experience and we just want to share it since it was disappointing. Take this review with a grain of salt. The eatery we had a bad experience with is located on the farthest right side upon entering the camp (It’s not the eatery directly infront of the heart seats). There is a wooden balcony overlooking the city. I believe there is no name of the place since it’s an establishment of Camp With Me.
Service - The service was very poor. We sat on a table that had leftover plates and food since it was the only one available. The staff had absolutely no initiative in cleaning it up. In addition, when the food arrived, they did not serve forks. Just spoons. When we asked a staff where the forks were, they answered “They’re not washed yet.” They should have clarified without us having to ask. Who eats with just a spoon? In short, the staff is untrained.
Food - We ordered 4 Beef Sisig. 200 each, with an additional of 15 pesos for the rice (Yes, the rice is not included in the 200 pesos sisig). When we tasted it, jusko ang lasa Chorizo. I don’t know if false advertising ni or not because when I searched on google, Chorizo can be made with beef.
Furthermore, their 1.25 coke litro (plastic) was priced at 100 (like wtf??).
Safety - Be careful when traveling to this camp at night. The road leading to this place is curved, poorly lit, and the entrance to the camp is easy to miss. The entrance is not yet cemented, so be sure to bring a 4x4 car when you’re planning to go here.
For everyone visiting this place, it’s better if you eat beforehand and bring your own snacks. The food here is overpriced. Despite this experience, the view and...
Read moreLong Honest Review. Our recent trip to "Camp With Me" in Toril, Davao, was incredibly disappointing and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic camping experience. The name is completely misleading.
First, the fees were unreasonable for the quality of the facilities. We were charged a weekday rate of ₱120 per person for an overnight stay, which was already questionable, but the real shock was the ₱100 "corkage fee" just for pitching our own tent. Paying a fee to use personal gear at a "campsite" is something I've never encountered before.
The conditions were simply horrible. The toilet was disgusting and clearly had not been maintained. The general surroundings were also dirty, which completely ruined the feeling of being in nature. There is no kitchen sink to wash your plates or dishes.
Worst of all, the atmosphere was not suitable for camping. Instead of a peaceful environment to rest and connect with the outdoors, the place was loud. It was impossible to get the peace and quiet that one expects from a camping trip.
If you are a camper looking for a quiet, clean, and respectable place to enjoy nature, this is not it.
For anyone, but especially for those traveling long distances hoping for an authentic campsite, this place will be a major letdown. The name "Camp With Me" does a great disservice to what camping should be. Save your money and find a...
Read moreCamp With Me Toril has always been one of my go-to places here in Davao. Having the opportunity to visit it was nice.
Going to the camp was easy by following Google Maps and then following the signages posted along the way. Just do not follow the last turn where google will tell you to go right. You should see the signage going to the camp and follow it.
There are lots of food options along the way so you can eat before going there. But if you don't want to bring as many things as possible, you can just go to the camp because there are also several food options there. Not much food options, but at least you don't have to bring food going there. There's also lots of drinking stations where you can also buy and drink while enjoying the city lights view.
For accommodation, it is recommended to reserve either tents with setup or any of their kubo. Just message the page Camp With Me Toril (make sure to message the page with "Toril" and not the one with just "Camp With Me"). Although we went there without reservation, we were just lucky that there was an extra kubo available for us but it is recommended to book in advance so they can prepare the place for you.
The staff were very accommodating also so you will really enjoy your stay. We had fun during our overnight stay and we will surely come...
