When you take a tour to Sugba Lagoon, make sure to drop by Kawhagan Island. This place is amazing. A charge of 30php per head and food and drinks are available. Sand bar is really nice when the tide is low. The view you get when the sun sets is magical. The place is kept clean and our local hosts are very friendly. Food and drinks are offered there as well. You can also camp here if you want to spend a night or two. A charge of 300php per head is collected for your overnight stay. Bring snorkels and if you have a drone, bring it as well. Time seems slow when you're here. Guys please, just be mindful of your trash please. Let's help keep this lovely island keep clean.

We are so glad we came back here during this trip! From previous trips we knew to pack a nice lunch.

On arrival we paid a small conservation fee, bought a fresh coconut and rented a straw mat to sit on.

We spend a few delightful hours walking the sandbank, searching between rocks for crabs, and just chilling.

Most boats nowadays stop across the water at a new restaurant, but we prefer Kawhagan over a beach crammed with tourists on plastic garden chairs.

Support the locals and visit Kawhagan, they can use the support and will make you...

I love this place so much! Aside from the island having a beach front which is kind of like a sand bar, the ambiance of the island itself is so relaxing! There are vendors on the island selling seafoods and chicken as well. You'll just buy from them and they will cook it for you depending on how you want it cooked. There are picnic tables and huts. The coconut trees give perfect shade as well. My overall experience was amazing...
