The falls was formed due to Typhoon Paeng, which is why it is called Paeng Falls. One observation I made is that the surroundings of the river are heavily polluted with bottles, cigarette butts, plastic, and cans that are clearly been there for a long time. There is no environmental fee, just a fee for the cottage if you stay for a long time. Before, there were only a few cottages, but now even in the middle of the river, there are cottages too. It's sad to think that the cottage owners are making money, but the cleanliness of the surroundings is not being observed.
