I recently had the opportunity to visit the breathtaking Hidden Beach in El Nido, Palawan, and I must say it was an experience like no other. The name "Hidden Beach" truly does justice to this remarkable natural wonder, as reaching it requires venturing through a small rock hole. This adds an exciting sense of adventure and exclusivity to the journey, making it all the more memorable.
Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the beach's pristine beauty. The surrounding area boasts awe-inspiring rock formations that lend a sense of enchantment to the beach's overall atmosphere. These natural formations create a dramatic backdrop, painting a picturesque scene that is perfect for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike.
The tranquility of the Hidden Beach is unparalleled. With its remote location and limited accessibility, the beach manages to maintain a peaceful and untouched ambiance. It is an oasis of serenity, far away from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. The crystal-clear turquoise waters gently lapping against the shore invite visitors to take a refreshing swim or snorkel among the vibrant marine life that thrives in these waters.
One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to explore the hidden caves and crevices along the coastline. Venturing into these hidden gems was like stepping into a different world—a world filled with mystery and wonder. The caves boast unique geological formations that leave visitors in awe of the power and artistry of nature.
The only reason I didn't give the Hidden Beach a perfect five-star rating is due to its popularity. While the name suggests a secluded and hidden gem, the beach has gained quite a bit of recognition, attracting a steady stream of visitors. During peak tourist seasons, it can get crowded, which somewhat diminishes the serene ambiance that makes it so special. However, I would still highly recommend visiting outside of peak times or early in the morning to fully enjoy the tranquility of this hidden paradise.
In conclusion, the Hidden Beach in El Nido, Palawan, is a remarkable destination that offers an unforgettable experience. Its unique name and the small rock hole entrance add an element of adventure, while the stunning rock formations and serene atmosphere create a true paradise for nature lovers. Despite its popularity, a visit to the Hidden Beach is still a must-do for anyone seeking a slice of secluded...
Read moreOn the day of my visit, this location was "closed" due to the high surf and the risk of injury as you swim through a narrow, jagged tunnel from the open ocean to the hidden beach. A couple of other boats had decided to try entry in addition the the captain and crew of my tour. The difference was my crew set up a crawl line using the boats rigging that got us safely to the cave entrance. Once there, we still had to navigate the sharp rocks and very strong currents. With some risk to their own safety, a couple of the crew members held on to the rocks and helped to push us through the cave between swells. Everyone who was willing to take the risk on my boat made the passage safely. We observed severe injuries and possibly a man having a heart attack from passengers of the other 2 boats. This was definitely an "E Ticket" ride for us and I really appreciated everything the folks from Umi Tours did the give us a safe experience. Inside, the beach is a beautiful place and it is no wonder this is a top...
Read moreHidden Beach helped me overcome that fear of not feeling any ground under your feet in the water. The boats obviously cannot anchor too close to the island due to the rocks so you have to swim in deep waters then navigate corals/rocks with pretty strong waves around you. The pay-off is worth it though. You are enclosed by limestone cliffs, white sand and vegetation in very calm, clear water. There was even a cave you could explore which goes right out to the sea (where the boats were). The braver ones used this as their entry/exit point. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera while psyching myself up for the "terrifying" journey. Truly a big regret that will haunt me for a long time. * Bring a reliable waterproof bag/container for your...
