This is about as good as it gets!! Huge sprawling beach, nice sand, perfect waves, not to big not too small and intermittent. Rolling in lazily and long. Kids can swim up close to the shore. My daughter is 3 and she had no fear. I had to hold her back from trying to swim out to the bigger breaks. she's an OK swimmer for a little one* When the the big sets come in the undertow pulls a bit but mostly to the side, right to left, but not out to sea much. To me it seemed fairly safe. We are here for new years, I don't know about other seasons. It's just picture perfect. We absolutely loved it. It's gets pretty crowded and the number of beach chairs an umbrellas get taken pretty early. I guess the earlier you go, the more likely you are to get one. We had good weather, but I could see it being pretty hot and sunny without shade. We lucked into a couple chairs right by a little food stand, and caught some shade there, threw our blanket out on the the beach, lol. Best of both worlds. The food place serves up some decent grub, Adobo, pancit, seafood, etc... It was good. It gets busy. When we ordered the lady said it would be an hour because they were busy. I don't think it took an hour to be honest, but maybe a good idea to just order and then go play in the ocean and when you get out it's ready. They have bathroom back behind the food stand, western bowl, no toilet seat, but not disgustingly gross or anything. It seemed fairly clean. Phillipino clean, mind you. Lots of nice people from all over at this place, plenty of eye candy. Just an overall great place. **The road in is fun and has some beautiful scenery. You can get some great green jungly pictures and fields, farms etc... It can be a bit tricky in a couple spots if it's been raining previously or if you don't know how to ride a scooter. You have to ride a wood plank across a bridge and it can be a little muddy. If you don't know how to ride, take your friend off the back, let them walk across and don't stop before you hit the lip or or your tires will spin!!! Just roll into it slowly and you should be fine. Another part you have to go over a little cement sewage or drainage tube. And it looks intimidating, Again, just hit it rolling and it's no problem, the bike may bottom out but your momentum will pull ya right over it. Don't be a p--sy!! * Or you can hire a trike driver but it's 1000-2000 pesos!! A bike rental is 4-500. Great place, a must if your...
Read moreNacpan beach is beautiful and the stretch is really long so perfect for walking.
The place can be really hot though like even for me which I lived all my life in a tropical island so make sure to bring sunscreen or rent one of the beach chairs or benches which can cost you 200 pesos to 400 pesos. I find that a bit expensive though.
There are not much to do but swim and sunbathe in the beach and also check the twin beach by hiking a little.
I don't recommend staying for a whole day. We went there afternoon and stayed for about 3 hours. We waited for the sunset and it is glorious. One of the most beautiful sunset I've seen.
The food is really good and a bit price. 2 people will cost you for about 500 which is not bad actually for they are good and fresh. Fresh Coconut juice is 50 pesos at Ruby bar but 70 in the restaurant beside it.
There are a lot of dogs in the area which I don't mind. They are playful and friendly. The best part of the beach is in the entrance and the in front of the Ruby restaurant. Walking to the twin beach and to where mad monkeys is located is fun too but the beach is not as good as the one in the entrance. They are all connected but it changes a little.
There are people living in the area near mad monkeys and twin beach so there are boats perfect for picture taking. Be careful also for there are dog poop in that area.
We rented a motor bike for 500 pesos a day to go to Nacpan and explore El nido. Gas cost us 100 pesos for...
Read moreNice enough beach, lovely local people. The sand is certainly not as white as it is being presented by other reviewers. Go on a Coron or El Nido Island tour, that’s white, not Nacpan. Not that sand has to be white anyway. Shame about a few things that are less nice. A subwoofer that travels very well. Quad bikes that are just hideous, noisy and stink the area with their exhaust fumes, total nuisance if you ask me and you can just be grateful there are no jet skies to give you the proper Mallorca experience. If I had forked out a lot of money to stay at Angkla, I’d been seriously peed off. Locals and tourists are on the beach with their motorbikes too. I don’t appreciate that either. As far as I am concerned, tropical beaches ought to be peaceful and should have footprints in the sand, not tyre marks and yes, there are lots of sandflies before sunset but that’s just nature and has to be accepted and you can take precaution. Lack of shade is another issue and the overall food experience is mediocre at best. Another issue is the plastic rubbish if you bother to venture out to the local village, it’s everywhere and very sad. People who rave about this beach ‘best beach in El Nido’ will probsbly say that because it’s the only one...
