San Francisco De Malabon Parish Church — Attraction in General Trias

After watching a movie about the life of St. Francis of Assisi, my wife and I were inspired to attend one of the masses. As we settled into random seats in the 3rd row from the front, we admired the beauty of the church and said a short prayer. Came here for the Last Supper Mass. The schedule was announced on their FB page. We arrived 1 hr early and we could hear someone giving a sermon. It turned out that the whole Mass is just a very long sermon. The presider explains everything that is happening even though more than half of the people there are active parishioners. It’s the first Catholic church in the area and even the place where the Philippine national anthem was rehearsed for the first time. The architecture is beautiful, with its old-school stone façade and a giant acacia tree that was turned into a statue after Typhoon Milenyo.
