I was recommended by a friend to come here, heard a lot of good things. I am not into snorkeling at all and am highly afraid of the depth of the ocean, yet this was THE BEST experience and most memorable of my life. I was very fortunate to have a great guide his name is Ray. He made my experience very easy and relaxing. I was able to see some beautiful clams and the water was so clear! This was also a beautiful coral reef with SO MANY fishes. Would recommend this highly. I also did the Sunken cemetery but this is a lot better visual wise. Hope to come again. For this interested in scuba diving at this spot, it is not allowed only snorkeling. I payed 25 entrance, 300 guide, snorkel & mask with life vest. Total 325 :) You can swim here for free once you pay the 25 entrance fee as well, you cannot snorkel without a guide though.

Indeed the most worthy spot to visit in Camiguin. I'm with a group of friends who were professional divers(except me), but i was snorkeling within a manageable deep of sea water. The current here is too strong, stones are so sharp labi na if dili kubalon ug lapa2x, maka samad gyud xa. You can opt a guide for swimming and diving with the giant sea clamp but of course with a fee. The tour guides were awesome little kiddos --- amazing, informative and productive at a young age. So awe with the sea creatures they're culturing and taking care of here. A huge sea clamp creatures can grow to 4ft in length and could even live to ages of over 100 years if they're lucky enough to survive.

I enjoyed my experience at the white beach! - Peace, quiet, beautiful breeze. There is more to this than clams and aquariums. At the farthest end of the sand stretch, you'll find shade under huge rock walls and talisay trees. if you like non crowded beaches, the far end of this beach feels very pristine an undiscovered. You can enjoy just relaxing on the sand without anyone bothering you. You'll pass by ruins which is a view on its own! - better secure your transportation and food, the area is very remote.

This is really a great place, easily the best attraction that we’ve experienced in several days here on the island. I’ve seen plenty of giant clams before, and have snorkeled loads, but still really appreciated what they’ve created here. What I liked best:

This is a volunteer cooperative created to preserve an endangered species that’s an important link in marine ecosystems.. it’s run by the local community, and they are eager to share their work with other locals

Many of the volunteers are middle school kids, 13 years old or so, and they are brilliant! They know their topics very well, have developed great English skills, and are very confident and articulate.. amazing.

A number of clams and fish are on display for easy viewing in small ponds.. even without snorkeling you can see a lot

If you choose to snorkel to the clam beds, a terrific guide accompanies you (recommend you get fins, it’s a long swim with some current)

Despite having seen giant clams before, this was the first time someone explained what I’m seeing and was able to answer questions that I had.. super interesting and so much better than past experiences. These are really good people, they are doing something important, and they’ve really created a unique and...

Clam sanctuary is closed as of March 1, 2025. They don't have their permit and stated the sanctuary is closed.

The Giant Clam Sanctuary is sectioned off with rope and has a few visible signs. We snorked about 25m away from the roped off area because the corals on that side are in better shape, they're large and quite impressive. The water is about 12ft deep and so the lighting is perfect. I kept monitoring to make sure we weren't getting close to the rope, despite being 25m away from the roped area, a man began blowing his whistle. If they do not want people 25m from the ropes then they should move the ropes out by 25m.

This was a really frustrating experience, especially as a very experienced scuba diver, I have a deep respect for the ocean and understanding of how to act while on a reef. The current was also going away from the roped off area, so we would not have even entered the area by accident. So to be told I'm doing something wrong when I'm not, made the...
