Masmila Ten Bornean Datus Site — Attraction in Hamtic

【HONEST REVIEW】

My(Our) travels so far in the province of Iloilo were mediocre at best and upon looking for historical landmarks and/or tourist attractions, these mastodonic statues of the Ten(10) Bornean Datus is one of the top on the list.

These Datus, namely Puti, who is the leader of the chieftains; Sumakwel; Bangkaya; Dumalugdog; Lubay; Paiburong; Dumangsil; Balensusa; Paduhinogan; and, Dumangsol.

Their influence as was historically proclaimed true despite the air of folklore, brings out the fantasy world in every kid inside of us; just envision having these ten champions spearheading modernization in the province of Antique is giving me that sense of pride and that feeling of strength.

As open and free as the sea, the statues are being subjected to deteriorating elements like the weather, and salt water, it would be more enticing if the statues were given spotlights during the darker hours of the day, highlighting their magnificence and adding more cultural value to the place and bring in...

The statues are huge, beauriful works of art... so much history. It may be debunked, but I have heard a lot of people claiming they can trace their roots all the way back to one of these guys. Well, they are a part of who we are. I wouldnt miss Binirayan Festival if I were there... its like part of the Christmas...
