We went here with my friends in November 05 2005. We passed by kitanglad after climbing Dulang-dulang. It is a memorable climb because of the combination of trails cultural exposure and the friends I am with are all great to be with. We reached Kitanglang range and seen the lodge/camp of the TV/radio operators where we spent the night. It is a very cold night so it is advisable to bring a very warm jackets and sleeping bags to help you through the night. The morning after you will be rewarded with beautiful view and long stairs going down the mountain.

Great trail experience, although It's rather unusual to be surrounded by satellites and bunkhouses at the summit of a mountain. Watching the sunrise at the roof of a building is a rare experience.

Mount Kitanglad is the Philippine’s 4th highest peak. The conquest to the summit will require a 7-hour all-assaul trail from the base of Mount Kitanglad in Sitio Intavas.

The trail is well-established with steel staircases on some steep parts. However, these stairs cannot be underestimated, as they’re more lethal than the conventional trail.

Along the way, you will encounter sighings of rare species of flora and fauna, which are all strictly for your eyes only (Kitanglad Range is a Protected Area).

While you’re nearing the summit, you’ll start “kissing” the clouds, as they are literally within your reach. You have to get your cameras ready all the time for you to capture some “walking” clouds...

Recommend this place for all hikers, climbers and those who are interested about to take a plunge into the nature of untouched, wild rain forests of North Mindanao; slopes are a bit sharp and sometimes you climb by grabbing mangrow roots, in some fragments of the trail metal ladders are attached to the steep slopes of the mountain; at the top you will find some technical edifies and shelter for tourists with a few dormitory sleeping rooms, common hall and cooking area, equipped by water tap, sink and electric stove; there you can spend a night and next morning continue your climbing session by accomplete traverse from mt.Kitanglad to mt. Dulang-Dulang, which is the second highest peak...
