Mount Kitanglad is the Philippine’s 4th highest peak. The conquest to the summit will require a 7-hour all-assaul trail from the base of Mount Kitanglad in Sitio Intavas.
The trail is well-established with steel staircases on some steep parts. However, these stairs cannot be underestimated, as they’re more lethal than the conventional trail.
Along the way, you will encounter sighings of rare species of flora and fauna, which are all strictly for your eyes only (Kitanglad Range is a Protected Area).
While you’re nearing the summit, you’ll start “kissing” the clouds, as they are literally within your reach. You have to get your cameras ready all the time for you to capture some “walking” clouds...

Read moreWe went here with my friends in November 05 2005. We passed by kitanglad after climbing Dulang-dulang. It is a memorable climb because of the combination of trails cultural exposure and the friends I am with are all great to be with. We reached Kitanglang range and seen the lodge/camp of the TV/radio operators where we spent the night. It is a very cold night so it is advisable to bring a very warm jackets and sleeping bags to help you through the night.
