If you are looking for ... hotel type with lots of amenities including room service white sand with backdrop of colorful flags unrestrained time to drink and be merry tent pitching hook ups and illegal stuff ... then this place is NOT for you.
Walo Walo Beach Cove has endeared its loyal guests who return every year, sometimes every few months, not because of the "luxury", "beauty", "freedom", or "wonder" it offers. Quote and quote, I specifically marked those words as these are things mistaken by some as standards for vacation.
Walo Walo is not perfect. It is rustic. It is a place you might not get to see in a perfect state but the comfort, the charm it has leaves lasting memories to those who found it. I am one of those thankful to have found it here on Google when a similar person looking for a quiet beach blogged about it.
Walo Walo offers more than what hotel style resorts offer. It offers an extension of family, showcasing the real Infanta hospitality. It is not with flaws but that makes it relatable, like a home away from home, like a loveable uncle's property where people can escape, breathe, heal. A cup of coffee offered, shared viands, a great talk, a long relaxing walk, restful sleep - these are better than some things we often wish for vacation.
The beach is not white sand but natural, fronted by cooling trees, the main garden even with talisay. You can drink, be merry, be yourself, meet good people and still be responsible. Safety, cleanliness of the beach, and hospitality are priority more than volume of guests thus they ensure no one gets to pass their gates freely esp from the beach side when others get drunk.
The place's biggest asset are its people and the guests who continue to return here. I've met rich people here who could afford fancier places but choose this for what Boracay or crowded fancy places cant offer - peace. It's not Palawan but you get to sleep well, unburden your heart infront of the ocean, surrounded by greens. Did I say the pitch black night at the beach is ideal backdrop for stars? I prefer that over artificial lights. Yet magic happens on some mornings when you get shown purple to pink sunrise. What a treat!
I'll see you again and I hope more discover what this place...
Read moreA great weekend getaway for family and friends looking for a low-cost budget friendly adventure. Entrance fee is only 50 pesos each including use of their restrooms. Foods are extraordinaryly ordinary like that budget siomai or lumpia you see on your typical expensive resort. Cottage are available for 500pesos but we opt to only use our motorcycle compartment for our luggages. If you are a big fam and luggage is a problem, cottage might be better. But since we are a light packer, not much space is need. You need shorts with zipper so you can store your keys safelt. Locals are very friendly, and of course last but not the least, The beach is clean-free of plastics, sand is really fine, waves are not that big and these are normal as the location is nearest Polilio Island and...
