A waterfall in the middle of a jungle. You have to travel about an hour from Kidapawan City and pass through a tribal village that controls entry to the trail leading to the falls. There is a cave above the falls called Paniki Cave (translates as "Bat Cave") but it is closed to the public. The trail from the village which follows a river upstream has now been developed with footbridges, footpaths, stairways, and even labels for trees and plants that you seem to be walking in a park. This might ruin the experience for those looking for unspoiled nature. Otherwise, it is a family friendly trek, you can bring your kids here. I was also told that the government or authorities in charge of the place might be requiring an entrance fee of PhP500 (around USD10) per person which would include a meal, a guide (not really necessary), and souvenir items. This might kill the place as a destination. Other nature attractions (there are a lot of falls) in the area have entrance fees ranging from PhP20-50 (around ¢50 to USD1). I hope by the time you read this, they would have adjusted the pricing. Overall, if you have extra money and want to have an easy stroll in a semi-developed park with kids or middle aged loved ones, come here. Otherwise, go to the other falls in the area.

The waterfall itself is beautiful, but the rest is a rippoff. You dont need a guide AT ALL, even a child would find his way alone. The entrance and tourguide fee of totally 500 PHP is way too high, doens't matter if a souvenir or food is included. Everybody should be able to choose if they want a guide or not. They should find another way how to support the local community than charching a high fee for a natural beauty. If you also calculate a habal-habal from Kidapawan for 250 PHP per way, it is a waste of money just for a waterfall. There are other falls nearby. And who really needs a certificate that you reached the waterfall in a half an hour on a nicely prepared walkway? The cave is still closed at the moment.

The place is perfect for a 45- 1 hour hike. And the trail isn't for the weak fr. The view is wonderful although on wet rainy season. The hiking should be avoided because erosion might happen.

The road up is very steep and wormy so my car broke down. Skyline(motor) is recommended to get up. You can ask locals where they are station at. The ride is affordable and negotiatable. There's entrance fee and a guide fee. Bring your water bottle cause there is a spring water on mid hike too....
