Bulingan falls might not be as grandeur as the other falls in the philippines but its charm lies to its unspoiled surrounding and of course the stigma of its province Basilan.

Rock formation in Bulingan Falls is something that you will be amazed with. Water is greenish but cold and clean. The government made a pool 10 meters away from where the water falls for children so that they will be safe from drowning. The area just below the falls is 7 to 8 ft deep so make sure that you really know how to swim to venture on this part of the falls. But the rest is chest deep.

You can also try going at the top of the falls to see big boulder of rocks as well as a little strwam that leads to the fall.

Place can be reach through hired habal or tricycle or even through tourism office's tour van it is a 30 min ride from Lamitan port

Place going there is scenic. There is a lot of checkpoint made by soldiers so you really need to bring your IDs for checking just in case. Dont be afraid though because they are very friendly and just ensuring the aafety of people from terrorist.

No entrance fee so yay for us. But pls make sure to not throw your thrash here. Do not leave anything that may harm the beauty of this place

You can come here through Zamboanga City

Just ride a roro from Zamboanga pier (roro fare php 100-120, terminal fee php 11. Earliest schedule is 645am. Zamboanga is 1.5 to 2 hours trip to Basilan) to Lamitan city basilan. Tricycles can be hired just outside the port of lamitan for a city tour including this...

One of the most beautiful falls I have seen my entire life. It’s like the stones were perfectly cut and stacked to create a layered cascade. Do visit early in the day and on a weekday so you’ll get to experience such beauty sans people. We got lost along the way but thanks to Google Maps. It’s almost an hour motorcycle ride from the capital. A scenic highway with a few interesting places to see. Plenty of military checkpoints along the way....

Hidden in the forest in Lamitan City, Basilan Province is one of Basilan's hidden wonder. This is Bulingan falls. It offers clear cascading waters which collects in a pool. It's columns of rocks seems to have been beautifully arranged by a landscape artist. You would be amaze that it is a natural rock formation. Accessible by two wheeled and four wheeled vehicle. A small entrance fee is collected at the entrance for maintenance.
