The low rating is for the state of the toilet inside the museum. I am deeply sorry to say this, but it was one of the most disgusting places I have seen, and this is supposed to be the museum that holds the largest Maranao culture collection. One of my must-visit places in Marawi is this museum, which is why it is quite disheartening to have Philippines' Maranao pride housed in such a facility. I sincerely hope that the low rating will get some attention from the management to do something about their toilet issue so that it meets the standard of how a world-class facility should be. Itâs full name is actually Aga Khan Museum of Islamic Arts and started as the University Folk Arts Center opened in June 13, 1962 by its founder, Dr. Mamitua Saber. With the Aga Khanâs donation, the museum was opened to the public on March 23, 1969.
