Magtangcob River — Attraction in Magsaysay

We went on a quick weekend trip to San Jose and Magsaysay in Occidental Mindoro, and this site was my absolute favorite. A trike ride from the town proper of San Jose took about 40 minutes. You’d know you’re close when the roads start getting bumpy and rocky. There's no entrance fee.

At first, we were a bit underwhelmed because the river looked dry. But to our amazement, we just had to go a little farther to see the stunning rock formations and emerald waters. Boats and huts on balsas are available for rent, but we opt not to. Despite the heat of the day, we enjoyed taking a refreshing dip in the cold river, it was an incredible experience. The place itself also looked great in photos!
