Chawa View Deck — Attraction in Mahatao

This was the first stop of my Southern Tour, and while the view is indeed very nice, it is unfortunate that bad weather has caused some damage, and so going down to the "shore" or even to the picnic area below is currently prohibited. FYI, two people have died trying to force their way down, and so i highly recommend following the danger signs posted at the area. I'm taking out a star from my review because I wasn't able to go down as well. But on my next visit, I hope to change...

This is an excellent stopover along the road from Basco to Mahatao. Problem is, there's no place to park without blocking the very narrow national road. When going down, please use caution - this is one of those places where the act of taking selfies have caused multiple fatalities.
