Dayhag Falls is a popular tourist destination located in Boljoon, south of Cebu. While it is reasonably far from Cebu, it is easily accessible, and the Google Maps pin accurately guides visitors to the site. However, visitors should expect some delays on their journey due to ongoing road construction in the municipality of Argao and a few kilometers from Upper Becerril, where Dayhag Falls is located.
It is worth noting that Dayhag Falls was heavily damaged during Typhoon Odette, and many of its features were destroyed. Currently, the last pool remains unusable, but both the first and second pools are operational. Despite this, the aesthetic features of the site, such as the pathways, flags, cleanliness, dirt stairs, ferns, and the large "avatar size" tree, remain the same.
To maintain the facilities and keep the Dayhag Falls clean, there is a 20-peso entrance fee. The funds generated from the entrance fee are used for the upkeep of the dressing room, bath, and comfort room.
One thing to be aware of is the presence of huge billboards warning visitors of flash floods, not only in the vicinity of Dayhag Falls but throughout the municipality as well. Therefore, visitors should exercise caution when visiting, especially during the rainy season.
Overall, the whole experience of visiting Dayhag Falls is fun, despite the damage caused by the typhoon. The natural beauty of the site, combined with the efforts to maintain its cleanliness and facilities, makes it a worthwhile visit for tourists looking for a unique and enjoyable...
