While Masbate is known for its beach destinations, there is also something for hill lovers. Take this café (Perspectiva Café and Bistro), for example. It’s perched atop a hill in Mayong-Payong. Getting there is no easy task and requires a sturdy vehicle. We scheduled our visit in the afternoon, just before dusk, and it was a beautiful sight. We spent an afternoon at Valle Justina Mountain Resort in Mayong Payong, Mobo, Masbate. The resort has a restaurant with a pool overlooking the Masbate Sea, the surrounding green mountains, and the famous Buntod Sandbar in the distance. You can take a 3K hike or you can take a habal habal to take you up. View is breathtaking so it is worth the hike. There is Rock Garden were you can go camping overnight and also a new place were you can stay overnight for 3k to 3.5k pesos and a nice swimming pool overlooking the city of Masbate and Buntod Reef. The round rotunda needs to be painted though. There is a store with wifi if you want sodas, water, biscuits, pancit canton, etc.....
