Overpriced, mismanaged, and best to be avoided if you want a peaceful stay.
Stayed for 9 nights during holy week. Lets start with a few things that are not terrible, though they did not merit a second star in my opinion. The food is ok, and fine value for money, and the room (Family Deluxe B) was clean and decent enough, with AC that was working well.
Now, the sad part. First, at 7k a night, I could book a room at the Shangri La in Mactan / Cebu, so, a little service would be expected at that price, but nada. In the entire "Resort" there are 2 deck chairs, and both are broken. Really? See pictures. Not a joke. The "Complimentary" Breakfast is a plate of rice with 1 other item, either Longanisa, some small piece of fish, or some other stuff, not really a selection, not really tasty, and you need to bring patience as it takes from 30 to 45 minutes even if you order at 6 am when there is not much crowd yet.
Also, Staff is slow, unmotivated, and puts on a face as if they were forced to work there, but certainly they do not want to work there. They have a hard time understanding English, and an even harder time remembering orders. Example: Ordered a Banana Split and a Coke, 20 minutes later, the Banana Split arrives but no Coke. Waitress goes back to get the Coke, another 10 minutes later comes with Coke but no Straw or Glass. Service in general takes too long. Lucky if you get your order in 30 to 45 minutes though 1 hour is more likely.
Next: From morning till evening you have to endure the Bingo Bongo Music from disco grade speakers at the Pool Bar. Extremely Annoying. This may be fine for teenagers or drunks, but not for people who want to enjoy a vacation.
Beach: The beach right in front of the place is not suitable to swim due to the stones, it is also not exactly clean. Luckily you can walk 300 meters to the better part of the Beach in front of Dahican Surf Resort.
Last but not least, they do admit day guests, for 150 Pesos, hundreds of them, making it hard for paying "Resort" guests (7k a night) to get a space at a decent table on the beach for lunch or dinner, not to mention the noise levels.
Sadly, this place is run by totally incompetent management, if there even is a management....

We've been to this beautiful town of Mati numerous times but never stayed at La-ne's. We booked this place for the first time because we had our wedding here. And they can accomodate the number of guests that are staying for the night as well. It's perfect for our beach ceremony and reception afterwards.
Our worst nightmare started on the first night of staying. At first, we thought the place is stunning! With the amenities they provide, my guests will enjoy their stay.
ATTENTION to all guests: They serve tap water (filtered) if you ask them to bring in to your room. I've been to many resorts/hotel but none of them serves tap water! My husband drank it with no hesitation, it's a very hot summer day in March. After few hours, we both experienced upset stomach. Cramps for me and really bad diarrhea for my husband. Why being so cheap La-ne's? We paid our room Php6,500 per night and this is what we get, tap water? And very sick the day before our wedding :(
The next day my wedding guests arrived. Of course, they ask for water and was served the signature TAP WATER! And yep, they got sick as well. One of my sisters told everybody not to drink their water because she noticed a funky taste. So they just order bottled water from the restaurant that coat me thousands. I told them to charge it to our room since I have to take care of our wedding guests who traveled a long way just to celebrate with us.
The room is okay, bed is comfy enough and tv has good channels. When you step into the shower, you will notice a huge bucket with tabo (why). The water pressure is so weak that you can't use the shower after SO tabo it is!! My husband's very first TABO shower ever. Very disappointing.
Food is below average and mostly serves Filipino dishes. The price is relatively cheap and comes in 3-4 person serving. We only dined once in this restaurant on our 3days of staying.
Thankfully, our wedding was a huge success! Perfect weather and scenery. Big thanks to my event coordinator that put it together and make it happen.
So if you're thinking of staying at La-ne's Kalapyahan,...
Read moreI like the food the place the ambiance and the sea.. the place is very relaxing if you want to just chill its also good to chill here especially at night.. their staff are accomodating too. The restaurant is very crowded every meal time which only implies that the food there are very tasty (true) the thing that we forgot to do here was we didn't book the room ahead of time cause during weekend all rooms are already fully book. We took the room good for 2 for only 3000 but we were really amazed how big the room is with the balcony, hot and cold shower and very spacious bed, glass doors, very elegant looking. When you go out from the room you can see the beach and the pool . So worth it for 3000 only and with free breakfast.
Their Day tour is 150 which is consumable for food and coffee but the pool entrance is not included. If you want to use the pool you should pay 100 pesos for whole day access to the pool..
They only have few rooms which is nice so the place wont be crowded with few people. And the staff is very hardworking when it comes to maintaining my the surrounding clean.
I want to come back here.. one night is...
