Clear skies stretched endlessly above, a canvas of vibrant blue unmarred by clouds. The sunlight filtered through the trees, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. The crystalline waters of the river flowed gently, revealing the colorful pebbles beneath. The air was crisp, carrying the scent of pine and earth, offering a clarity rarely found in bustling cities. In this serene haven, the silence was broken only by the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze. Nature's clarity enveloped everything, from the symphony of chirping birds to the distant echo of a flowing stream. Each breath brought a sense of purity, cleansing the mind of worries and allowing clarity of thought to flourish. The landscape's beauty was almost surreal, as if painted with meticulous strokes of an artist's brush. The panorama of rolling hills in the distance provided a backdrop of tranquil elegance. Here, clarity wasn't just a visual spectacle but an immersive experience—a soothing balm for the soul, a reminder of the simplicity and wonder of the natural world.

Nice place. The chapel, the ascending path and green retreat houses along the path create a nuance of peace. The station of the cross directing to the garden bears an acculturation of dioramas. At the last station there's a garden gate that directs us right into the trees canopy. The iron path guides us descending into the ground. At different levels of grounds, there are ponds of koi. The voice of the water streams cool off our heart. At the lowerest ground, we are guided to a gate of the hanging bridge. Though it is narrow, it takes us to another ground across. It is a rather steep hills and on top of the hills, there's a white open air Chappelle. The last hill is recently arranged because the trees still small and shorts and the cemented path are not yet done. Some locals build shops near the fence. So we could enjoy some fresh young coconut (buko) and caramelized banana (turon) as the compensation of the hikes.

There are lots to see in caleruega, ull get to see stations of the cross, a hanging bridge along the way or climb the only-for-strong stairway going to the transfiguration chapel; or see the tent chapel of the transfiguration at the far end of trek. Take the main gate if u intent to visit all the sites. U can spend all morning visiting all the sites. This is the long route But If u intend just to see the transfiguration chapel. Stop by the side gate by the road. Few blocks before the entrace. Take few step and ull be by the transfiguration chapel. This will save u all the trouble of elbowing ur way and climbing the loooong stair cases leading to the transfiguration chapel. Close to nature and closer to God is the theme of the site. Take time to pray and have all the time in the world to take pictures. Entrance fee is P30.00

We have re-visited Caleruega Church again and was still impressed by the beauty and peacefulness of the location. The entrance fee of 30 pesos per person and 40 pesos for parking were very reasonable and well worth the cost. The church itself is well-maintained and the surrounding nature is breathtaking. The huge space with ponds and hanging bridge were perfect for a peaceful stroll and taking in the natural beauty. I would highly recommend Caleruega Church to anyone looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The well-maintained environment and the beautiful nature makes it a perfect spot for a peaceful spiritual retreat. The view of Mt. Batulao can also be seen from the mini chapel. I will definitely be returning in the future and bringing more people with me to experience this wonderful place.

This was at Caleruega Church in Nasugbu, Batangas, during our stay on Easter Sunday. It is an ideal place for weddings and family gatherings. You can either meditate or pray. They allow food, so you can have a picnic with your family. Bring a bottle of water with you, as you'll be sweating thoroughly while exploring the area and visiting the two chapels located on the mountaintop, but you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views. . . . . . . 📍Caleruega Church, Nasugbu, Batangas 📍Caleruega Chapel of Transfiguration 📍Caleruega Dominican Retreat Center ____ Please note that visitors must pay an admission fee of Php 30 per person and a parking fee of Php 40 per car. Caleruega Church offers a serene escape, seamlessly intertwining spirituality with the beauty of nature. The presence of a koi pond and a picturesque bridge adds a touch of tranquility. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the Stations of the Cross trail that winds up the hill. The effort is rewarded not only with breathtaking views but also a sense of spiritual fulfillment. The overall ambience resonates with the church's theme, close to nature, closer to God. The seamless integration of the natural surroundings amplifies the sacred atmosphere, making each visit a holistic and reflective experience. However, the rough road going to the church is a minor inconvenience, it's a factor to consider for those planning a visit.
