Hey everyone, this is Cris, your Filipino traveler, seafarer, and content creator. Balatas' crystal-clear water makes it a must-visit destination in Oriental Mindoro. I highly recommend it if you prefer beaches with gentle waves. However, it can be a bit risky for kids, so parents, please guide your children when visiting. This beach offers a refreshing escape from the city's polluted air. I hope they'll maintain the water's cleanliness, as some guests didn't respect the environment around the floating cottage. Unfortunately, the floating cottage can harm the sea and its marine life, which is a valuable asset to this beach. Let's hope they'll take care of it. Lastly, the cottage prices are affordable, but some amenities are a bit pricey for this newly discovered place.

Our family had an outing here and rented a floating cottage with small pool (for kids and adults - to sit and chill only) inside. The cottage was reserved a day before. We brought out food and meats for barbeque. Rice can be cooked for a few in some establishments near the shore. Shower available, free but you have to fetch the water or pay a fee if you don't want to fetch water. Water is clean. There are side activities like banana boat ride, 250 per person. However, the changing area cum toilet (for peeing only) in the cottage is not well maintained. But worth a visit as the water is blue and clean!

The beach was clean and the locals were friendly. Kind of deep waters so if you have kids, we highly recommend bringing life vests. Kayak rental and floating cottages are available and the locals are friendly.

Balatasan Beach Resort is a hidden gem tucked away along the pristine coastline. The highlight of our stay was definitely the floating cottages, offering a unique experience of waking up to the gentle sway of the sea. The crystal-clear waters were perfect for swimming and snorkeling, with vibrant marine life just beneath the surface. What truly set this resort apart was the exceptional hospitality we received from the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Whether it was arranging activities or simply offering warm smiles, their dedication made our experience truly memorable. Balatasan Beach Resort exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return for another...
