Stayed overnight on a transient near Bantay Abot cave and what greeted us is a very good morning view. This is just 2 minutes away from the Blue Lagoon and has a more peaceful ambience though you cant swim in this part of the beach. Very rocky. The sunrise is a must see on this place. Seeing the sun show up beyond the mountains is so nice. We were booked at Nancy home stay. We had a free breakfast prepared by Ms Nancy. Breakfast by the bay it is. Just a typical breakfast though. The view will surely please you.

We visited the cave around noon and it was low tide. You can pass by this tourist attraction when you visit Blue Lagoon. It is a beautiful natural terrain formation, formed by constant waves when high tide and wind erosion. Going down the stairs is a bit tricky, since it is rather steep. Kids often would offer taking your pictures for a small fee (but I recommend being generous) and they have shooting skills. However, going to the cave may not be possible during high tide.

Bantay Abot Cave isn't a cave in the traditional sense; it's a captivating cliffside rock formation resembling a giant, gaping maw. This striking natural wonder commands attention, impossible to miss as you journey along the Pagudpud coastline. You can admire the cave's majesty from afar or embark on a mini-adventure, hiking carefully to stand beneath its imposing arch. Tread carefully, though, as the path can be challenging. While Bantay Abot offers breathtaking scenery and Instagram-worthy shots, the activities are limited beyond sightseeing and selfies. Nonetheless, the experience of standing beneath this geological marvel is truly unique and leaves a lasting impression.

The place is a rock formation that has a big hole where you can take photos in the middle. I like how it looks like a picture frame in the photo. Oh the view in the middle of the hole is so beautiful it reminds me of Batanes. We passed by in this cave in other days and the locals really promote this place because it looks good. The view of the sea near the cave looks pretty as well. We took as much photo as we can because we came around 8am and we're alone at that time. Surely going back wearing my OOTD!

It's a unique wonder of nature. This place seems to be isolated, but coming here is certainly a delight. Some caves I already visited, and this one does the uniqueness for me. Apparently this place is only accessible during low tide. The slippery rocks and the waves (if you do not want to get wet) might pose a bit of a challenge coming here but it's worth it. You can pass through this when you go to Blue Lagoon. It's an eyecatcher from afar so it is so hard to miss.

This is what I truly love in Ilocos! When there's this Cave or Rock Formation there will always be a beach as a view 🏝 You can really take great pictures in the cave, you can also have a pic with the view. Rocks and this clean water makes it so refreshing even when its hot. But beware! As the way going down here is kinda slippery, make sure to use good shoes/slippers for the rockways. Hope you enjoy! 😆
