It was 2019 when we traveled from Bambang to Pagudpud due to persistent requests from my Nanay. The travel was long it took as I think 12 to 14 hours, we arrived in Pagudpud around 4PM so we decided to check in to one of the lodges besides Hannah's resort, It was much cheaper and could accommodate a lot of people. We took the route Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Cagayan and Ilocos Norte. The journey was great and unforgettable, a lot of beautiful sights (Nature and Manmade). There was one Papaitan shop before entering Tuguegarao and it was so nasty that not even a dog could eat it. We were very frustrated, the seller even told us that it was newly cooked but actually it was not cooked and smelled very bad. I parked there and almost had my tires busted because there was a 2x2 wood with a 4in nailed on it and the pointed part almost punctured my tire, thankfully we got spared. But upon reaching Pagudpud everything is perfect. The beach was serene and the sky cooperated. My Nanay enjoyed feeling like a mermaid. These pictures don't represent 100 percent of the landscapes' perfect scenery. It was far more beautiful and elegant in person if you were there in the area. Hannah Resort got developed so much that the natural landscape of the area looks abused. Anyway the viaduct area is splendid as a stopover for taking photos.

The Patapat Viaduct is a stunning highway that offers some truly awe-inspiring views during the day. The highway is perched more than 30 meters above sea level and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Cordillera mountain range and the Pacific Ocean. While the daytime views are definitely the highlight of the Patapat Viaduct, I'm not sure about the views at night. There may not be much to see once the sun goes down, so it's probably best to plan a visit during the day to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the area. While the viaduct itself is the main attraction, I've seen people stop on the side of the mountain, as there are no laybys available, to take some pictures or even maybe do TikTok videos. It has become a popular Instagram spot due to its scenic location, and it's not uncommon to see people taking photos or videos on the side of the road. However, it is worth noting that stopping on the side of the mountain can be dangerous, and it's important to exercise caution while taking photos or videos. 🤗✨

Our trip to Patapat Viaduct was an adventure filled with stunning views and memorable moments. As we drove along the winding road to this famous bridge, we couldn't help but admire the beautiful scenery around us. The road to Patapat Viaduct is full of twists and turns, offering glimpses of the mountains and sea along the way. Even though it was only 9 am, the bright sun made us stop quickly to appreciate the view. When we arrived, we found a lot of people and cars lined up along the road, all trying to get the perfect photo of the viaduct. Since it was Holy Week, it was busier than usual, showing how popular this spot is for tourists. Seeing the viaduct for the first time left me speechless. It looked just like the pictures I had seen on postcards, but even more beautiful in person. The journey to Patapat Viaduct is a treat for the eyes, with each turn revealing more of the stunning scenery. From the tall mountains to the endless sea, nature's beauty was all around us.

We went here as DIY from Banguii. We waited for a GMW bus or other buses that will take you to Cagayan/Tuguegarao as it will pass by Patapat. We took the GMW bus which costs Php120-125. The conductor told us it's already full, but it's fine even if we will stand. We told the conductor to drop us off in Patapat. It wont be diffucult since the bus actually stops to make way for tourist taking pictures. We were worried after taking pictures since It was quite difficult going back to Laoag as I needed to wait again for a bus that will pass by. It was our first time and we are only commuting so we expect the worse. Luckily, we asked locals if there are buses or vans that will take us back to Laoag and we just waited 20 mins and took a bus bound to Manila that will pass by Laoag City. Going to and from would take around 2-4 hours. It was a thrilling experience indeed. The view is breathtaking and the bridge is one of a kind. It really is a tourist spot worth visiting.

One of Ilocos Norte's iconic landmark is an engineering wonder that connects two regions together without the need to flatten the mountains in between. The Patapat land bridge or viaduct stretches 1.3 kilometers along the northern coast of Luzon, providing a picturesque view for commuters traveling from Ilocos to Cagayan and vise versa. The only drawback to this location is the apparent lack of parking spaces. Fortunately, we managed to pull over the side of the road and took some breathtaking images, albiet we had to hasten a little as we are just parking on the roadside. Great thing is our driver went above and beyond to serve as our tour guide aswell. It is important to be cautious while you cross from one side of the bridge to another as cars are passing by at a rapid pace.
