Plenty of activities for all the family, but personally I liked the venue, chilled out atmosphere and the water the best.
The water is brackish (half fesh, half salt) so has cold and warm patches and is of medium to low salt density. As a result you stay more boyant than fresh, and less salty / aggressive as the sea.
As a result it provides the best of both worlds. Up the river is great fun but the water can be a little too cold for long sessions, so this warmer brackish water is much nicer in my opinion (especially for kids).
There are 1001 things you can do there, but we chose for kayaking. This was very pleasant and gives a taste of the rural surrounding areas.
