Recently changed its name to “Samalenyo Pearl Resort”, this resort is better known in the area as “Samalan”. This is great for people who want to enjoy exclusivity in a peaceful and relaxing paradise. The beach have prestine waters and long beach line. Because of its remoteness few people are able to reach this resort, not to mention the long rough road from Kaputian to the resort. Although its a struggle driving to the resort, nonetheless, tiny cars like our Toyota Wigo managed to travel through. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours travel time from Babak. For those who are concerned with security and safety, the resort requests the nearby posted Army, to give security for overnight guests. As with our experience, we had 3 Army escorts that night. Aside from that, beside the resort is a good and accomodating neighborhood community. During our overnight stay, we rented out an open cottage which costs 700 pesos, and we were charged 100 pesos per person. We brought our tents, however if you want to rent out a Nipa Hut, here are the rates: Option 1: Nipa Hut good for 2 with C.R. - 2,000 (includes entrance fee) Option 2: Nipa Hut Good for 2 but could accomodate 3 more with extra beddings without C.R. - 2,000 (Additional 200 pesos per person for the beddings) No corkage for anything, so bring as much food and drinks you want. If you want to reserve, contact: Kuya Dolfo:

It takes an hour to travel from Sasa Port. Getting there was challenging due to unfinished road construction. It has beautiful sand and crystal-clear water. A day tour costs 50 pesos and an overnight tour costs 150 pesos. Bringing tent is quite convenient, though there is a corkage fee of 50 pesos per tent. There is no corkage for food. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. On the other hand, comfort rooms and shower rooms should be renovated.

I want spend more time in this place to refresh my brain and destress. The water is clear and clean. Not so many people visit because of now still known that much to public. The road going there is a bit challenging but sedan can still pass.

It was a Team Building. I understand why the place is unmaintain because it's really some kind of a virgin-like island. Yet, I hope after years they'll get to clean the shore line. Keep everything neat and clean. I love how innocent the place was. It was actually my first time to see monkeys on a forest. The animals are free. I'm just bothered about garbages around. I hope people will find something to do abt this. And one more thing, when we actually reach the place the crew or the people who are actually assigned for the resort wasn't really that welcoming. Knowing that the institution payed them even enough. Tsk. Not a perfect 5 star for the experience but the nature is really...
