Such a beautiful stop for island hopping!
The island gives a good view of the sea. It’s a nice place to swim around although the current tends to get strong but not dangerous during high tide. It’s also windy in the area. Moreover, it’s a small island; hence, it’s not ideal for an overnight stay. The place only allows day-tours.
There are trees and various plants around that provide shade. Locals have built a cottage with tables and chairs for visitors who wish to stay longer and have a feast. There are safety fences on the higher parts of the island. There are also ropes tied around the bottom part that serve as a safety precaution for those swimming.
The highest point has the most picturesque view of the vast horizon. You cannot stay there for long though, since the spot exposes you to direct heat of the sun. Just imagine how hot it can get. 🥵 Note that it’s also hard to get there due to the number of people trying to shoot a good photo and enjoy the view. Wait for a good timing. wink
Most parts of the island are rocky and rough. Some rocks are sharp. If not careful, you might get hurt. Slippers are fine, but I prefer (and advise) aqua shoes to be sure and safe.
I don’t know if there are fees to the island premises. If there was, it was already included in our boat rental + island hopping package. And if there was, it won’t be expensive and I suggest to buy tickets in advance or make arrangements. Gems in IGACOS only charge enough to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the place. It’s reasonable.
To sum it up, Wishing Island is a wonderful creation. I recommend to include it as a stop for island hopping...
