Attended a wedding ceremony and reception and stayed overnight.
Pros: The beach is clean. It is not white sand more of powdered corals but the beach is free from unnatural debris. It is private. Since you need to be cleared by 2 guards (one in Kota Keluarga - main entrance and one in Klub Keluarga - resort entrance). No one gets in or out if they are not meant to be part of the event. The food is good. Although the food was provided as buffet for the event, it was prepared in the Klub and it tasted great and seasoned just right. The Cabanas are on the beach front. Three steps from your bed and you're on your way down the steps to the beach. And the cabanas are air conditioned. It is picture worthy. The beach, the mountain above the beach, even the way down to the beach. The water is not brackish both in taste (I brushed my teeth with it) and in rinsing (in the shower).
Cons: Individual shower rooms are located in a communal area. The cabanas do not have showers, or toilets. Three toilet rooms are located communally for men ( I assume the number for women is higher). The cabana bed can comfortably fit two people, extra people will sleep on the floor. There is no where to place clothes. Well there is a cabinet under the bed but if you have bad knees, vertigo, heart ailments or hypertension, squatting to tidy up your clothes is really not a good option. The communal shower has a towel rack that I can reach by fully extending my arm, and I am 5'9. There is no space to put a toiletry bag while you are in the shower so be prepared to have the bag get wet when placed on the floor. There is the usual porcelain soap dish affixed to the wall. It is far. From Manila it is roughly 4-5 hours. When you get to the main gate, it will take you 5 mins travel to get to a signage that starts the 10 mins drive to Klub Keluarga. The last part is a bit nerve wracking. When you see the water from the road, slow down, there is a very steep incline (almost 45-50 degrees that you...
Read moreBe cautious, management is a shady. They said credit card won’t work so opted with paying $.. then dictated the exchange rate knowing that I have limited options. The credit card machine worked the next day though paying our meals. We really wanted to stay there to check it out for our wedding and possibly buy an investment property, so opted went with it anyway. Needless to say, we won’t be holding the wedding there. Great place to stay for a few days though, just make sure to bring you own soap too, or get charged Php30 extra lol. The staff is great although definitely feels they are being trained like pets. Speaking of, there’s a few street dogs roaming around... they‘re well...
Read moreWe recently got our house in Kota Keluarga about 3 or 4 months ago, we have listed a couple of items to be fixed after checking during the turnover. Some were done but majority are still pending.
We have raised this mutuple times to Admin but we are being brushed off or even asking for additional payments which I dont believe is right as these were fixes and mistakes need to be done before handing over the property.
If anyone knows how we can reach the higher Management to complain about this, its been months going back and forth and we are not getting proper...
