I haven't been to Belmar in it's cleanest days. But when we went there, the restaurant area smells like public toilet, the fries we ordered smelled like fish. And the rest smells bad and not fresh. They're currently building new rooms but the room we got has molds in the bathroom. They also have animals in cages...they are emaciated and dehydrated. The cages are also too small. They're not maintained very well. The beach has mangroves, good for a morning dip. I wouldn't recommend it for now. Hopefully they'll improve it in the future. Especially taking good care of the animals they have.

P.s. the cashier was impolite too. She's kind of not in the mood in receiving our orders...p.s. we were all smiles when we got there. The lady waiter was so...

We had a terrible stay in this place. We stayed for a night and there was no electricity. The whole area was soooo dark. We are worried, we did not sleep and the room was sooo hot. We cannot open the sliding door cause we are afraid about the insects that would come inside the room. The staff did not even gave us any source of light. We waited til morning to go to the reception because we cannot climb the stairs with a very dark area.

They blame the power interruption to the local power provider so i told the staff you should provide generator to back up in case of power loss, and just replied it is not working now. Sadly, they did not give consideration when we ask for discounts, they did not even offer a free drink just to cool our...

Good points: The view - a good vantage point to see Sarangani Bay The buko halo - delicious

Bad points: The beach - check the calendar, schedule your trip on a high tide otherwise you will have to walk far out into the sea to even get the water past your knee The cottages - very small The amenities - CR doors are broken and they only have saltwater on the showers (not sure about the rooms) so you rinse with saltwater on a day tour before going home

Others: The mini zoo - the monkeys are in small cages; not sure how often they clean the bird cages but the smell is unmistakable; the dugong that have been taxidermied on display isn't in the best state The stairs - be prepared for some good exercise going up and...

Belmar Eco Park & Beach Resort is one of the perfect places in Sarangani Province wherein you can enjoy both an amazing view of Sarangani Bay and some gastronomic adventure from their mouth-watering dishes. They also have a Mini Zoo and this is what makes Belmar unique among all other resorts in the Province. They have Phytons and Snakes here available for interaction too. Their Food is great. I personally loved their Grilled Squid & Buko Halo-halo. I will surely be back at this place.

The place is very green. It makes you closer to nature and to God's creations. Safety-wise, i don't recommend this place. Staffs refuse to wear facemask while serving. Sea-wise, this is not for you. It has muddy seabed and water is never clear. Accomodation-wise, rooms are good and cool, with a really nice view of the sea. Water from the room's restroom is salty yet they provide you fresh water which for me is a very good gesture. Overall, we had fun. Thank you Belmar!

Whatever the weather is, Belmar’s halohalo is sweetness overload - sugar to boost your energy and icy chill to cool your body- all inside a young coconut shell with tons of goodness. This place also offers great-tasting local foods (try the Tinibuok na Manok - native chicken cooked in gabi/yam broth). Belmar also offers a panoramic view of Sarangani Bay. By the beach are awesome attractions for kids and accommodations for groups and families.
