There was a VERY small fee, if we remember right, we think it was P10/person, to enter Paguriran Island and Lagoon Beach Resort. From there, there are Nipa Cottages (no room) that can be rented during the day/afternoon, and Nipa Huts (1-2 rooms) that can be rented for the night or however long. We ended up renting 1 of the 2-bedroom Nipa Huts for the night. It was priced at P2K, which was only $34.25 for the night. Each room can easily sleep 2 people comfortably on the bed, plus if you have more people, we're sure the floor can accommodate maybe 2-3 more. We also rented the bottom room of the "Nipa Hut Manager's" Nipa Hut...Since it was right below the room they were living in, there was a P300 discount, so that bottom room was only for P700, which was only $12 for the night. As far as the bathrooms/restrooms/comfort rooms (CR), the 2-bedroom Nipa Hut came with its Private Bathroom across the parking area. These Nipa Huts do NOT have AC. They do have stand-up fans, which gave plenty of airflow for the cooler nights. There were rooms available for rent that had AC, but it was a room with 2 beds and a bathroom, with no view. Plus, those obviously cost more. We wanted to get the "local" feel of the place, so we opted for the Nipa Huts, with the beautiful view.
Side Note: Filipinos LOVE Karaoke! Don't be surprised if they're singing their hearts/lungs out WAY into the night! If you're a night owl, we're sure they won't mind if you joined in! But if you're a jet-lagged Tourist, make sure to have ear plugs AND ear muffs on top of the ear plugs!
There are Sari-Sari Stores within the Beach Resort, and there is a Carinderia/Turo-Turo (Food) Place right as you enter the dirt road leading to the Beach Resort. They serve whatever the fresh catch is from either the night before or the morning of, so everything is VERY FRESH.
And last but not least, the Paguriran Island and Lagoon is a VERY short walking distance from the shore. It can be reached by foot regardless of the tide (low/high tide). We walked to it both times and it was doable. Within our pictures, the first time we walked to it was during low tide. If you're snorkeling, especially the outskirts of this Island/Lagoon, we suggest snorkeling when it's low tide, to try and avoid the different currents during high tide. We know this because we snorkeled the outskirts of this Island/Lagoon, during high tide, and the different currents you'd encounter would make you immovable, no matter how hard you swim...And there are pockets where if you're not careful, it can suck you in and slam you onto the rocks...My husband used to be a lifeguard, and I used to surf, so we're not inexperienced/beginners when it comes to swimming and the ocean, but we still got pretty beat up. So! Heads up/You've...

Too noisy, Too Crowded. and the Room accommodations are not worth your price. Every Cottages has a Videoke Player and you can hear different loud voices which can irritate you. The rooms are just simple but it will cost you a 4000 - 5000 per night? No restaurant near the area. You will have to travel for about an hour and 15 minutes from the city to reach the place. really not worth your time.Excited pa naman ako. angtaas ng expectations ko. nag byahe ako ng almost 13 hours para lang makita ang lagoon, But When I arrived there, I immediately get out. I really had a bad experience.
One more thing, I saw a small canteen just near the area, I ate there coz I am really starving. Pinag tyagaan ko nalang yung adobo na pang last serving na yata. and when I am about to eat my food I saw a fly. not one, but 2 dead fly! naka halo don sa food. Grabe. diko alam magiging reaction ko. AYOKO na bumalik dito. SORRY! Parang wala din kasing paki alam ang mga tao dun. Hindi accomodating. That's all. Just sharing...
Read moreIt is a must-visit destination for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts who are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beach has a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean, with crystal clear waters and powdery white sand that is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. One of the unique features of this beach is the rock formations that resemble a mini island, which can be reached by a short hike and a boat ride. The beach also has several huts and cottages that provide shade and comfort for visitors, making it an ideal place for a picnic or a relaxing day by the shore. The local vendors also offer fresh seafood that can be enjoyed on-site. The only downside to this beautiful beach is its accessibility. It can be a challenge to reach, as the road leading to it is bumpy and rough. However, the stunning view and serenity of Paguriran Beach are definitely worth the effort.
