Molopolo White Beach 📍 Barangay Molopolo, Liloan, Southern Leyte, Philippines Tucked away in Eastern Visayas, Molopolo White Beach is a hidden gem known for its soft, Boracay-like white sand, crystal-clear water, and peaceful ambiance. Surrounded by towering mountains and pristine coastal scenery, it’s the perfect place to relax, snorkel, or enjoy quiet time with family and friends. What to Expect Powdery white sand sprinkled with occasional sea phylum and coastal rocks. Gentle, clear waters—great for swimming, snorkeling, and even spotting marine life like corals and sea turtles. Three accessible islets just offshore—approachable on foot during low tide or via rented boat during high tide. Cliff-diving spots suitable for adventurous souls, with rock formations and outcrops calling for exploration. A relaxed local vibe—often calm and quiet, occasionally livelier in the evening as locals gather to unwind. Rates & Amenities Entrance fee: Around ₱5–₱10 per person. Cottage rentals: ₱100–₱200 for native huts or shade structures. Extras: Tables, chairs, and tents are available for rent. Kamping (overnight camping) is usually allowed. Facilities: Basic—there might be CRs, cooking areas, and trash bins; dining options are limited, so it’s wise to bring your own food. Getting There Via road: Around 100 km from Maasin City via Bato–Bontoc Road. From the national highway, it's just a quick 10-minute ride to Molopolo. Public transport: Buses from Tacloban or Maasin to Liloan, then motorbike or tricycle to the beach. Tips for a Great Visit Best time to go: Opt for low tide to enjoy the wide sandy stretch and reach the islets on foot. Bring essentials: Water, snacks, sun protection, aqua shoes (rocks and corals are common), and camping gear if staying overnight. Stay safe: Use care near rocky areas, especially if going cliff diving. Be mindful: Keep the beach clean—use trash bins or bring your own bag to carry trash back. Molopolo White Beach is a peaceful escape—not overdeveloped, but rich in natural beauty, tranquility, and simple coastal charm. Whether you're planning a family outing, a photo session, a snorkeling adventure, or a short camping trip, this Southern Leyte gem offers a serene coastal vibe that’s perfect for disconnecting and immersing yourself in pristine nature. #MolopoloWhiteBeach #SouthernLeyte #LiloanLeyte #HiddenBeachPH #BeachGetaway #PhilippinesParadise #MindanaoVisayas #SnorkelSpot #BudgetBeachTrip

Nice small beach within a shallow protected cove. Picnic cottages for rent (300php)or tables/benches(100php). Clean shower n toilet. Sand is coarse creamy white, with speckles of black, from broken coral and shells. Water is shallow and calm but rocky a few meters from shore. Water shoes are recommended. A small limestone island with a cottage, beautiful views of leyte island and for the brave cliff diving is located near the beach and you can walk to it. Stores/vendors sell food/drinks but i recommend bringing your own food(cooked or to grill) and buying beverage on site (soda, beer, liquor). Entrance fee/environmental fee is 5php. Parking will cost 50php for a car. Trash cans are easily found. Nice beach to take your family. I was told you can camp overnight and there is a pension house within the barangay.

A very good place to go for a family event or a simple gathering of friends or family. The entrance fee and cottages are much cheaper here. The view is really nice and the waterbis clear. Although it's not well developed yet but without a doubt the place is a paradise. It's better to bring your own food because there aren't much of food offered here except for junk foods or drinks. There are also salbabidas or life vest available in the beach, most of them are for rentals only. Plus the people are friendly!

Though it is not fully developed but without a doubt, it is one of the most incredible summer tourist destinations of Southern Leyte because of it's untouched beauty and elegance. It has this relaxing tropical ambiance in the air in which you can heavily enjoy basking under the sun or cool off from the blazing summer heat along with your friends and family.

The cottages are very affordable and I think the cleanliness of the place is regularly maintained. Great for taking selfies and group photos. You can even go to an island near it by just walking especially when low tide. The island is a great place to take a dive. So if you're finding a great place this summer, why not...
