Tagbak Marine Park 📍 Sitio Tagbak, Barangay Tabugon, Liloan, Southern Leyte, Philippines ✨ Known as Southern Leyte’s own little Maldives, Tagbak Marine Park is a protected marine sanctuary offering a serene and exclusive escape. Located near Liloan, the park features a single floating cottage on rocky islets surrounded by vibrant coral gardens, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling, paddleboarding, and pure relaxation. Only one group is allowed per day—so you essentially get this tranquil slice of paradise all to yourself. Activities & Rates Entrance Fee ₱10 per person (adult) / ₱5 (children) Cottage Rental ₱300 per group Boat Transfer ₱200 per group (up to 10) Stand-up Paddleboarding (3 hrs) ₱150 Kayak (Single, 3 hrs) ₱200 Kayak (Tandem, 3 hrs) ₱300 Snorkeling (3 hrs) ₱100 Note: Some sources mention a flat group rate of ₱500 (good for up to 10 persons), which may subsume entrance, cottage, and boat—check ahead when booking. Key Highlights: One group per day—enjoy a private sanctuary experience. Activities include snorkeling among colorful damselfish and sea urchins, paddleboarding, kayaking, sea turtle watching, and even wild duck sightings. The gazebo or cottage serves as a 360° viewing deck and launching point for water fun. Getting There & Accessibility From Tacloban: Take a van (3 hours) to Sogod, then a jeepney (1 hour) to Liloan. At the tourism office, you'll be directed to the jump-off point. Boat Ride: A short (~5-minute) bangka ride takes you to the floating cottage. Accessibility: Rustic setting—expect basic facilities; not wheelchair-friendly. Visitor Experience Tagbak Marine Park offers a peaceful, eco-conscious escape—far from crowds and commercial distractions. Critics praise its natural beauty, serene vibe, and personalized service (especially from local guide "Kuya Eugene"). Ideal for: Solo adventurers, couples, or families seeking privacy and nature immersion Eco-conscious travelers who value preservation over tourist trappings Fans of snorkeling, paddle sports, or simply unwinding in crystal-clear waters Tagbak Marine Park is a hidden gem of Southern Leyte—an untouched marine sanctuary where one group per day means tranquility and exclusivity. With vibrant corals, azure waters, and rustic charm, it's the perfect escape for those looking to slow down, snorkel, paddle, and soak in stunning coastal views—all while honoring the environment. #TagbakMarinePark #SouthernLeyte #HiddenParadisePH #MarineSanctuary #SnorkelingSpot #EcoTravelPH #PhilippinesBeaches #LiloanLeyte #UnspoiledBeaches

It was a great experience both the scenery and with the people in-charge, the service was great especially Kuya Eugene who always made sure that all our needs were well attended plus the smiles that will made you feel the warm welcome. Really it's a clear blue water that you could enjoy your swimming and test your photography skills, it's a sanctuary for the fishes that comes in variety. Hope people that will be visiting would be more resposible with their trash, it needs to be protected and preserve not just the beauty of it but also the marine life. 👍

It is a lovely place. An amazing place to have fun while having some privacy. The boat driver was very accomodating. We enjoyed snorkeling because there are a lot of fish in there. For those planning to go there, just contact the facebook page of Tagbak Marine Park for reservations. The reservation fee was around P300. I don't know if there was an increase.

Good place to take kids and family. We saw various types of marine life with green sea turtles bringing smiles to everyone. Fishing is good at high tide (it is permitted in the park) with gazebo type structures and trees for shade. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Price is 20 pesos for filipinos and 50 pesos for foreigners. Tagbag is a marine park. It is not a preserve or sanctuary. You can boat, snorkel and fish. You do not walk on coral and in 3 visits I was the only...
