So in order to reach Sugba Lagoon, you have to rent a pump boat. Its price is 1500, good for 6 persons. But it can actually fit 8 persons but you have to pay for the additional people. You don't really need to worry about the space cause its really perfect for 8 persons. There's also an environmental fee. And don't so haggard cause they take photos of your group before and after riding the pump boats (with your consent, of course) which can will be developed. Then you can buy it for 50 php after your trip. It can be a perfect souvenir and seriously just buy it cause no one will other than you. It look greats too.
It was pretty far so you get to enjoy other views. Mangrove forest which has a great history. Like ocean views palang sulit na.
Then moving on to Sugba Lagoon, IT WAS REALLY GREAT. Kayak is for 500 php which is good for 2 persons. There where also boats good for 4 persons and more. You get to row it yourself, take pictures. The atmosphere was amazing. It kinda reminds you of Palawan cause they look similar plus the bonus experience you can get. Just be sure to bring a lot of money cause you have to paym for everything. Like everything. You can also rent life jackets for 50 pesos. So you don't have to worry if you wanna row Kayak by yourself but you don't have know how to swim. AND YES, you can jump and dive there. But be sure that you know how to swim cause its a "Dive at your own risk". Better safe than sorry fellas. So it will really be great if you know how to swim. You get to enjoy more, like diving. Which is also a "must try* in Sohoton. As for me, I wasn't really that confident at my "swimming ability" (Sure, I can do dog swim. You know what I mean) But I really want to go back there...
Read moreDo this before you go Island Hopping as you'll just end up as disappointed as I was, I'd booked an Island Hopping tour for 1,000 pesos and had an amazing time! Highly recommended. After such a successful tour I opted in to the land tour which was 1,500 pesos. I had hired a motorbike an upon looking at the Land Tour Intinerary I realised that I'd done most of the Land tour accidentally my self except for Sugba Lagoon. I was charged 750 pesos for just visiting Sugba Lagoon, I had to make my ownway to the docks, I thought the price was steep but it was still cheaper than hiring a boat which is 1,500. If you can get 5 friends you can go for as little as 300 pesos each.
The boat to the lagoon takes about half an hour and when we arrived I was sorely disappointed, the waters were nowhere as clear as the waters at Naked or Dakun Island. There is nothing there but a house in the middle of the water. The house was extremely crowded with tourists, and all everyone seemed to be interested in was posing on the high board for their Instagram photos. I feel that's all this place is; it looks good on an Instagram feed, the emerald water, the mangroves in the backdrop, sounds picturesque; but truth be told, it's very underwhelming and not worth the premium you have to pay to get here.
I'm glad I went, but I wish I went before my Island Hopping trip as I felt like I was too spoilt to appreciate...
Read moreSugba Lagoon is a must-visit when you're in Siargao absolutely breathtaking. The adventure starts with a scenic 30 to 45-minute boat ride from the port to the lagoon. Just a tip: the boat engine can be really loud, so if you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. Each group gets assigned a boat number, and when you're ready to return, simply give that number to the staff at the lagoon and they’ll call your boat back for pickup.
Once you arrive, the view is spectacular. The water is unbelievably clear and surrounded by lush limestone hills it feels like something out of a movie. There’s a small entrance fee, and if you want a table to leave your things, there’s a separate charge. You can also rent a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) or kayak for an hour. While the area for paddling isn’t huge, it’s still fun to explore for 30 minutes or so before cooling off with a swim.
The platform jump is a highlight! The water is warm and crystal clear perfect for swimming. If you bring goggles or water shoes, you can spend time spotting fish or just floating around and soaking up the peaceful vibe. It’s a magical place that lets you slow down, disconnect, and just enjoy nature.
Highly recommend Sugba Lagoon as part of your Siargao itinerary. Whether you go solo, with friends, or on a guided tour, the experience...
